Ha. Nothing but love for Jiano for taking home the gold there. SM64 amazed me on too many occasions to count. He's explained it to me now and downplayed it's epicness, my face when he did Blast Away Walls on Whomps Fortress cannonless was insane. I thought for sure that was TAS-only. What made it sweeter was he got it on first try! <3
As for Crash, hmm. I'm not going to defend it because it was sub-par, but there really isn't an opportunity to showboat in Crash for it to count against me, unless you're counting quality of play in your showboat category. All that one can do is display extremely optimized routing for 100%'ing the game. Also, it's pretty random with the clipping shortcuts. Can't stress that it's not a game that lends towards being done live at all. But it's in the past. Can only learn from it and move on with smarter game choices.

Once again, I'm flattered to be beside Jiano. He really blew me away raping SM64 in the earhole for two hours straight. Flicky's Bayonetta ... man, I tried so hard to stay awake for his speedrun and passed out during DMC1. I'm still kicking myself over that one. I'm so sorry Flicky! We'll do fake accents and make fun of Americans during the next marathon! <3 (If you come again)
Also, no "redemption" award landing the 2-8 butt stomp off-screen? Given how much attention was given to my 2-8 death last year, and it's certified meme status now, I'd assume it's worth mentioning, but I suppose that works out in the ShowBoating award.

The pleasure was all mine. I wish I could've interacted with the chat stream more during Yoshi's Island. It's sort of tough to do when you have little downtime during the run and no one on-site is fluent in the game. On a positive note, I am topping 2011 with 2012's promised 100% Single Segment, which will be 2,000% more insane and have time for me to interact as well as certainly have a commentator whose fluent in Yoshi's Island to try to explain the dozen or so principles, tricks, and glitches that will be abused.
Needless to say, if you enjoyed this year, then I can't wait for your reaction to next year's!
