I am new to the site, and really want to start streaming my Mega Man X runs. I am not sure if a topic like this has already been posted, but I looked for one and couldn't find anything.

Anyway, I have an account with Ustream, and I am using a Dazzle DVC 100, but it doesn't seem to register when I go to broadcast; it records audio, but no video. I plan on recording the audio with a USB headset or something, but if there is a better way, let me know. Also, when I do get this up and running, how would I have my stream channel in the live streams on the home page?

If anyone can help me out here, that would be appreciated.

Ok, well I am not exactly sure what FME is used for. I realize it is software used for live streaming, but doesn't Ustream do that for you?

I guess my main question is about FME. How do I use it properly to get the stream to work the way I want it to?

Yeah, but FME generally can give you better frame rates then uStream.  Generally with me it's about 20 frames via uStream, and I can get 30 nicely with FME.

In order to use it, you need to download the XML from your uStream channel, then load that into FME.  Close anything related to uStream (or your browser as a whole), load up FME, click Start at the bottom, then start your broadcast.

Alright, that sounds easy enough. I'll give that a go. Thanks a lot man.

I have another problem now. When I try to use Ustream, my browser keeps crashing at the prompt for the microphone check. Any help is appreciated.

Are you using Internet Exploder?  Firefox?  Chrome?  Safari?

Firefox. I guess I could try IE to see if it makes a difference. Also, lol at internet exploder.

AlsoYeah, my browser keeps crashing. I don't know what to do. I am using Firefox, and every time I get to the microphone/video prompt, it crashes. I guess my computer won't allow me to live stream or something.
