well, i was thinking...since there are games that can't really be beaten in terms of speed, i'm hoping there can be "skill" runs for games like

Parappa the Rapper

or other games similar, if anyone knows of any. for those of you that have played the game before, i'm sure you would agree that a skill run would be legitimate in this sense.

i think it would be great to see someone show their "rapping" skills for the levels, especially after the game has been beaten once through since the levels allow you to do more tricks and the scoring system is based on rhythm and technique.

what do you guys think? is there anyone that's willing to do a skill run? or, do you know of any links? if so, please post them in this thread if it's ok. thanks, in advance.

Someone will probably post a parappa link to another site.

But this conversation has gone on here before, DDR comes to mind. This is not a site about skills, but about speed.

well, i guess the only speed would apply to the techniques on rapping within the stages and i know this since i've played the game from beginning to end more than once. yet, that's beside the point...right?

so...does anyone have any links?

Ok, but first tell us what songs you have gotten AAA on. Otherwise, it might not be worth running. (BTW it won't be hosted here. But I'd still like to see it)

yeah i want to do a skill run of frequency or amplitude. so put in a skill run category. and yes i did fail my english class.

There still won't be a specific skill category hosted on SDA. But if you want to do a skill run, speedrun a game! Just as much skill o.o

I was thinking of doing a skill run for Super R-Type on Pro difficulty. I asked on the General board if this site would consider it a speed run if I beat the bosses really quickly with no deaths, but they agreed that it's more skill than speed. But hey, so what if it won't show up here? It's still a challenge.
