Is this the same as loopy's? Google translate isn't giving much info, if this has 2 HDMI outs I'd definitely look into ordering it. There's been quite a few DS things I've been really wanting to record recently.
Can I order a pre-modded japanese 3DS and where can I get the software? Can this record videos and do you pre-mod european systems, too? Do you send them to europe? The site is quite difficult for a non japanese guy.
Board, no, the entire 3DS is already on my way. You'll get the screenshots, when it's here. Test video: The App doesn't allow that yet, since it's not possible yet.
Can't you record the screen with virtualdub, camtasia studio, or manycam?
If I already didn't have a japanese 3DS I'd definitly think about ordering it. But yeah, can't afford such an expensive capture board, it is not rentable for me.
wait, does the board only allow a 3FPS transfer rate? or is running both a screencap program AND the 3ds capture app at the same time too demanding on a computer?
No, the Board isn't optimalized yet, it doesn't use much yet. HDMI is on full speed, but really messy.
It's all because Loopy's Board is still in Development, but it'll be all on 30 FPS on USB, and stable on HDMI, as soon as it'll hit public, so don't worry.

Oh really? I don't recall ever making that claim. Thanks for letting us know.

Also, 60 FPS = full frame rate.
I don't think you have to worry about optimizing it to 60FPS. Most video editors only allow a max output of 30FPS on 720P or 1080P anyways so it wouldn't do much to have 60 FPS. (Also I think youtube only plays 30FPS. I'm not 100% sure about this so if someone could confirm or deny, that would be great)
Some of the High/Insane Quality videos from this site are not restricted to 30fps. The only exceptions are usually if the game or raw recording was 30fps.
Oh wow the 3DS version is being fitted with HDMI? That is amazing. Any chance the DS version will be outfitted with that?
Actually, will the 3DS version be able to capture DS as well? Sorry if it's been asked/answered already. I'm mostly looking to capture DS games since Pokemon BW2 is still on that and it's a lot cheaper lol
Oh I know every 3DS can of course play DS games, but I wasn't sure with how it was wired if it only captured 3DS or DS also inside. I assumed 3DS does hardware emulation for the DS, meaning has parts from the DS in it to run the games, which I would think means somehow hooking it up to both idk lol
Even with those things about the HDMI, we can still edit/process the video through an editor. Like if I was streaming it with the HDMI going into my Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle, I can rotate the video and resize it properly as I stream/record.

From what I understand, Loopy's capture devices work by latching onto the video signals going to the LCD screens. In other words If it shows up on the screen, you can capture it.
On an unrelated note, it is very exciting to watch this project progress. I'm looking forward to the finished product.
That's awesome that the HDMI supports the full FPS! Is it safe to assume the slowdown on the USB recording is the USB 2.0 transfer speeds? Either way, this is extremely exciting, and I would pay way too much money for one.
