Crash you leave the stream on the point where i would show you the Rez Trick you wanna see ^^
But ok my Guide-Run after the previous was very boring, so no problem Wink and i made a video of this.

This is the Rez Fight with a really cool speed trick i found out today:

And here is the new WR (1:02:57) with this trick. The first half of the Run was good. At MTT i had a problem with xsplit so i loose 10 seconds and have 2 parts in twitch now.
SNF and PitA aren't soo good, because i make mistakes on 2 Remotes and a little bit sloppy play on the others. Because of this i lost 2 Minutes (2 deaths in SNF).
But this levels are really hard and i'm quite happy with this run (after i found so many tricks in the last week which means that this run is a little bit different now (especially from the TAS)).

Sorry about leaving, had to go do things. The trick you found is great.
from PAListan
Haha no problem ... this was a little joke ^^

I'm a little bit sad that PitA and SNF went not well, but so there is room for improvement. I'll try to improve this tomorrow.

NEW WR! So bad that Pork went so unlucky...it could give me the seconds for the sub 1 hour run Sad
But i'm working on it.

I've found out a really cool shortcut in This Old Cave and this saves around 35 seconds in two of the three Remotes.

Here is this Icy Fly Shortcut on the First Remote:

(it safes ~10 seconds on this)

and here on the Second Remote:

(safes ~25 seconds here)

With this tricks sub 1 hour is a lot easier, but i must practise this shortcut, because you can fail on some parts. If you get hit by any of these lava things the Fly will disappear.

YEAH i did it! A sub 1 hour Run. 59:38 is now the time to beat!
I'll improve this again and hope that i can get a cleaner run to submit this to SDA.
The SNF Shortcut is so hard and maybe it will be a lot of work to get a good run with this shortcut @ first try. But i'll work for it.
At the moment i'm so happy with the sub 1 hour and this motivate me to do a better run in the next weeks.

here the new WR 59:38

http://de.twitch.tv/exe_de/c/2821725

and i've found a very risky shortcut in SNF, which is only useful in a segmented Run. It safes ~12 seconds but you can fail so easily and loose over 40 seconds.

from PAListan
And i've found out a new Shortcut again ^^
This SC is really simple and i don't know why it wasn't found earlier:

It safes 10 Seconds and you can't fail this.

I've found a new Shortcut in Honey I Shrunk The Gecko:

The Tailbounce shortcut safes around 8 seconds on one Remote and around 16 seconds on both Remotes / the whole level.

Since Mukkis TAS i found out 19 Tricks/Shortcuts/Glitches and all of these could safe around 4 Minutes. I'm very happy with this ^^

I've done 2 new WRs this week and this is the last one (59:00):

http://de.twitch.tv/exe_de/c/3099595

Soooo bad that i fall off before Rez Fight Sad
This is a new saver strat for this completely random boss which normally waste only 5 seconds. But i fall off the stage und must use the elevator again.
Sad
Hi guys, I proudly present you the first trick I found:

This saves around 5 seconds each time it's done, but also costs a life. I also tested this on Frankensteinfeld, where it is significantly easier. There are probably several other levels where it can be done.
from PAListan
This is so awesome Andy ^^

I'll try this out in my Non-Tas practise and see if some of these tricks is useful / doable on a RTA.
Two more glitches based on the same technique:

I'm glad I can help ^^
I'm already back with new stuff!

This shows more things you can do based on the trick that I now call "Reentering Skip":

This is a small and risky time saver in Frankensteinfeld:

This is so much fun! I will keep on searching.
Here's another one:

You can do all sorts of things to delay the animation (taking damage, entering loading zones, getting into different animations like in the video), you won't skip it. The interesting thing here can be seen by checking the stats screen: You actually obtain the bonus remote at the moment you touch the 50th item, not after the animation. But so far the only way to skip the animation is by dying.

That's it for now, I'm leaving for some days. Hopefully I can post some new stuff when I'm back!
from PAListan
Great Work. These are very cool and useful tricks for a 100% Route.
I hope you can find other skips, too ^^
I've found things every week and i think that there are more tricks you can found.

I'm back with my biggest find yet:

It took me many, many tries, but I finally proved that my idea for a new route for this level works. Even if you subtract the setup time (taking damage, activating the checkpoint) it should still save at least half a minute!

By doing this, you not only skip the whole process of reentering the level (as always with this glitch), you also remove most of the backtracking for "Hunt the two hunters" and can start from the faster side of the area.

But I have to say that it is VERY hard to do and probably not realistic for a RTA. I can't say if it could be used in a segmented run though, as I think I'm getting a bit more consistent with the Reentering Skip in general. You can see in the video that I attack twice before I fall (otherwise the trick wouldn't be possible here), so it may be possible to learn the timing for this.

Besides that, I can now also confirm that the glitch can be done by running out of air in the space levels:

I will try to break this game even more..
No new timesavers this time, just some useless stuff.

First, I did this while playing around in Mao Tse Tongue:

I tried to find a way to skip the dragon fight, but unfortunately, the developers really did a good job there. I can get enough height and distance from a bounce of the dragon, but there is an invisible wall behind the roof. They also made the roof slippery. That really sucks, I mean, the developers of classics like Zelda didn't think that far...

I also have a video specifically for exe Cheesy

Hitting that spot first try in a run was really skillful! But on a more serious note, it's really strange that the same glitch does not produce a sound bug here. Maybe the two levels work differently or it's just really random.
from PAListan
Haha thanks for that.
So a very very good run was really destroyed by only 1 pixel? Sad

I tested this "jumping over the dragon" out in the past. But had the same problems as you.
I did some 100% routing. Here's the first level I did, The Umpire Strikes Out. It has only minimal backtracking (the way to the hidden remote is traveled twice) which is due to the design of the level.

- Head in the direction of the "Ride the Rocket" remote until you reach the point where you can go down to the hidden remote (collect the fastest items on the way)
- Jump down to the area with the hidden remote
- Collect all the items and the hidden remote
- Jump into the portal to get back to the start
- Go the way that leads to the "Enter the Battle Dome" remote (collect the fastest items on the way and get the bonus remote)
- Get the "Enter the Battle Dome" remote
- Get the "Ride the Rocket" remote

The difference in a TAS would be that this would probably be included:

There are so many easy items on the way, that you won't need to go out of your way or get too much of the more random ones (boxes close to an edge and enemies on small platforms). I won't try to find a specific route for the items yet.

Btw, I made a video about a really obvious shortcut to the hidden remote. It's actually easier to die in this jump than you would expect.

from PAListan
Haha great findings for 100%.
Hope you can find much more things and lower the time a lot.
They look so beautiful for 100%

Also exe Your avatar is perfect for that last comment Cheesy
I did more routing for 100%, both for RTA and TAS. But instead of posting the routes now and creating monsterposts, I will post them in a pastebin when I'm done. The levels I did were the two toon levels.

In Fine Tooning, I found a trick that would be great if it wasn't for an other method (rocket early). I tried to find a use for it in the route, but I couldn't. But hey, it's still cool that it can be done!

The second one is a useless OoB in Out of Toon. This means it's now possible to go OoB in 2 of the 3 areas in this level.

Hi everyone, I looked into Honey I Shrunk the Gecko a bit. This is what I found:

The first trick skips an entire room for the second remote (which is only collected in 100%). I roughly timed it and I think it should be faster in a TAS (I certainly hope so because it looks amazing). The other skip is a really small timesaver for the normal route to the same remote.

Edit: More!

This is my first find for non-TAS any%! It skips having to slowly wait for the lower platform to move. The jump itself is pretty easy, but the camera likes to troll you. If you fail it too many times, you wont have enough time to move the upper platform far enough with the power up, so there is some risk to it.
from PAListan
Very nice finds.

Especially the second one is really important for me.
I'll practise this and try to use it in my runs ^^
I knew you would try to include that one in your runs, good luck with it ^^
