I've never captured anything. I did some reasearch and it looks like you can't capture anything without a VCR? Tell me if i'm mistaken.

Well, the alternative being that you get a computer with a capture card and hook your console up so you can capture with that. Or if you are playing a PC game, a program like FRAPS or Camtasia would be the thing you need.
