So today I completed a casual any% run on Twitch, I have turned the run into a highlight video and have tried to find a record time, the only time i could find which was unofficial was 04:29:13 (hh/mm/ss) my time completing the game was 03:08:42.

The game was Yu-Gi-Oh! The Sacred Cards , I have 2 questions, question number 1 would be; Does anybody know if there is a current record for this game anywhere? If so could you kindly link me to it?
2) If there is not a record, does this mean I can get my record verified by staff/public and have it on the SDA, if so, how?

Here is a link to the video on twitch of the complete run : http://www.twitch.tv/frekle/c/2147125

Thank you.

Make sure you read the rules about capture methods, because Twitch highlights are 99.99% of the time not suitable as submissions.

Yeah, thanks for this, that's a shame Sad

00.01%? When has a twitch recording been remotely close to acceptable?

Maybe if there were 0 dropped frames for the duration of the run and the video was properly encoded to 60fps and didn't have splits? That'd be a rare find though I'm sure.

And doesn't have any runner talking so that the audio is pure.

And is at a sufficient bitrate.

It's theoretically possible, but I doubt we'll ever see it.

HELLO!
Don't forget you also have to be able to *download* it in that pristine condition, since uploading it to Youtube will certainly destroy it.

*stares at Zallard's avatar there. left-b, quick-dodge, high punch. Hmm.*

For a comment like that, I'm just gonna select that to be my only avatar. Now no one will be able to resist staring at it constantly.

I missed half of the second round of Hall vs Gastulem... Please...
Make it so.
He hasn't saved any of his broadcasts but a twitch user by the name of ThatRug has been doing some any% work on The Sacred Cards. I know he's got it sub 2 hours so I'd start by checking him out.

I don't know Zallard.  I just stumbled over this just now and reminded me of your post.

Edit: Done

I, too, find broken image links amusing. (put it on imgur imo)
Anyone else have info on the Sacred Cards?
I completed this game in 1:16:03. There's a run from GameTalkLive that beat it in 1:14:24

The race to making a submittable twitch highlight is on!
HELLO!
What would happen if a partner streamed an Atari game, full screen, only game audio, at very high resolution and 60fps?

I wonder if that would work.

current WR run of Sacred Cards
may use a few too many Kappas
The time has since been updated to 59:56--which I can only assume is timed from New Game start to acquiring The Winged Dragon of Ra because based on my timing (to fadeout in the final duel against Marik Ishtar), I timed it at 59:52.

I have jumped onto this game and have gotten down to 1hr 29min on actual hardware (via Yu-Gi-Oh! Double Pack). I'm not even sure I can count 30 minutes of mistakes in my run. Surely the text doesn't scroll faster on emulator, does it? That can't be right. I really need to optimize the shopping spree and menuing before trying to claim something so outrageous.

I have the same problem spenting an entire life in the menu.
I noticed the character doesn't run holding the B button in the World Record video. Is it normal ? If not, it could be a great optimization.
Also, during Odion battle, he keeps the Bolt penguins that are totally useless and have a high cost and we can see he had some troubles with it.
Finally the last battle is only based on luck with his deck. That's why I prefer use One-tribute monsters instead of Dark Magician (Yami Yugi drops Dark Magician Girl which is so more useful).

We can do it !

Editted : I got 1:17:18.39 from starting a New game to the last input (right before the end credits). I took a picture from WSplit (http://www.noelshack.com/2014-07-1392407349-yugioh-cartes-sacrees-0001.png) but I have no video beacause I play on the original GBA cartridge. I really can improve it as I lost 3 battles during the run, due to very bad hands at the begining of each one. I watched the WR may times but I don't know what could be modified to beat the game faster, except playing better during the duels.
