1-Up!
Alright, folks, I'm looking to sell my Wii along with some extra things.  I think I've arrived at a fair price, so I figured I'd throw it up here and give you guys a chance to look it over before I put it up on ebay or craigs list.

WHAT I'M OFFERING:

ONE Wii console with A/V and power cords, along with stand and sensor bar (Probably don't have the original box, but it may be buried somewhere)
TWO Wii remotes (Nintendo Brand, have to check and see if I have the wrist straps)
TWO Nunchuks (Nintendo Brand)
ONE copy of Wii Sports (have to check on sleeve and manual)
ONE copy of New Super Mario Bros. Wii (with box and manual)
TWENTY-FOUR Virtual Console and WiiWare games listed below

ASKING PRICE: $120 $140-145 USD****

Reasoning:
I'm looking to upgrade to the 25th anniversary Red Wii that releases in November.  Obviously I don't need 2 Wii's, so I'm looking to sell mine along with some extra incentive stuff.  The Wii itself still works/runs perfectly.  Gamestop sells refurbished Wii's for $120 but you don't get Wii Sports, NSMB Wii, or the extra controller and nunchuck.  I figured Gamestop probably overcharges a little, so I can add some extra stuff in and charge the same price to be competitive.  Also from looking online, there doesn't seem to be very much going for less than this, so that's how I made my decision.

If you're interested, make an offer in this thread.  I'm willing to negotiate, but I don't want to go too much lower than this.

Edit: pictures in this post.

****Edit 2:
This morning while Googling how to transfer my VC and Wiiware titles I came to the sad conclusion that it is in fact impossible to do so.  That means that all of my Virtual Console and WiiWare games are permanently tied to my Wii.  This kinda sucks, but It's not the end of the world because I only play a few of them regularly anymore and got my money's worth out of the rest of them.

The VC/WiiWare games I have are:
Super Mario Bros. (NES)
Super Mario Bros. 2 USA (NES)
Super Mario Bros. 2 J (NES)
Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES)
Super Mario World (SNES)
Super Mario RPG (SNES)
Mario Kart 64 (N64)
Paper Mario (N64)
Donkey Kong Country (SNES)
Donkey Kong Country 2 (SNES)
Donkey Kong Country 3 (SNES)
Mega Man (NES)
Punch Out! (NES)
Super Punch Out! (SNES)
Doc Louis's Punch Out (WiiWare) <- Club Nintendo exclusive, afaik
Super Smash Bros. (N64)
The Legend of Zelda (NES)
The Legend of Zelda II: AoL (NES)
Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)
Kirby 64 (N64)
Pokemon Snap (N64)
Pokemon Rumble (WiiWare)
Tetris Party (WiiWare)***
Lompos (WiiWare)***

***These last two have been purchased on my wii and can be downloaded from the Wii Shop Channel for free, but there isn't currently enough space in the Wii memory for me to have them downloaded along with all of my other games and my save files (which I haven't deleted yet).  I would recommend investing in an SD card if you don't have one, that way you can put the VC/WiiWare games on it and they won't take up your Wii memory.

So anyhow, that's 24 extra games I'm selling along with the Wii.  For reference sake, the total I paid for all of them was ~180, but I obviously don't want/expect that much for them.  I think a fair price for everything mentioned above plus the extra games would be in the $140-145 range, that's roughly a dollar per game, and 20-25 extra dollars ought to allow me to redownload the titles I still play semi-regularly

I'm interested in this.  I'd be willing to pay $120, as long as everything is in good condition.  It'd be great if you could post some pictures.

1-Up!
I'll try to get some pictures up tonight.  Also, I want to discuss VC games with you, as it's recently come to my attention that I cannot transfer them, so they will become the property of whoever buys the Wii.  With that in mind, I'd like to get a little more than 120, but I'm certainly willing to discuss.

There's DKC 2 involved Wink

Ooh, that would mean I could finally give my brother back his DKC2 SNES cart. Smiley  Could you possibly list what games are on the VC?
1-Up!
Alright, Essentia, I updated the first post with all of my VC/WiiWare games.  My fiance is going to bring her camera over to my apartment tonight so that we can take pictures of everything and I'll try to post them up tonight.  Also I said this in the edit, but I'd like to bring the price up to $140-145 to accommodate the extra games, hopefully you think that's reasonable.  Sorry for not realizing that prior to creating the thread, I promise I'm not trying to pull any tricks or anything lol ;).

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to ask away.  I'll try to have those pictures up tonight.

^^If you want to post pictures now you could always take them with your Iphone, take them off of your phone with Iphoto, and then post them. Just saying.

Or I could wait to use Amber's camera tonight so it actually looks nice.  Plus I've got other stuff I need to do before class tonight.
Fucking Weeaboo
Actually, if you have a Nintendo account, you can tie it into THEM, delete everything from the Wii, untie the account from your wii and tie it into the new one.  Redownload.

You're going to have to explain that a little more clearly to me, because as far as I've found, that's exactly what you can't do, but I'm listening if you know a way.

Edit: looked around some more on the nintendo website.  I know that I can link my club nintendo account to my wii shop channel (I have), but the only use for that is so that your wii shop channel purchases are recognized by your account so that you can receive coins for them.  The actual games you purchase aren't tied to your account, they're tied to your wii, as far as I can tell.

edited to change some words for clarification.
1-Up!
Alright, here are the pictures.  According to my fiance, these would look better with better lighting.  Oh well.
Most of these are fairly self-explanatory.

Wii from the front.

Wii from the side.  Note that the only sign of wear on the Wii itself is the fact that the second flap you see (the one that covers the gamecube memory card slot) isn't as tight on as the first flap.  In other words, if you turn the Wii upside down, that flap will swing open.  Not a big deal if you don't turn your Wii upside down, though.  I personally have always just taken them off and left them off.

Nintendo AC power cord.

Nintendo Composite Cable

Sensor bar.  Note that I don't have the small stand that accompanies it.  I've never had any issues working without it (been without for a couple years)

2 remotes and 2 nunchucks.  Wrist straps included

It occurred to me to include the wii remote jackets as well, although I don't personally use them.

Wii Sports.  Has my name on the front, the back side looks great, especially for a game with no box (I'll be shipping it in a DVD-RW jewel case).

NSMB Wii case, game and manual.  The back of this disk is immaculate, you might not think it has ever been played lol.  I was surprised how good it looks.

Thanks for those pictures.  Everything looks like it's in pretty good condition.  $140 sounds like a fair price to me.  Does that work for you?
1-Up!
I can do 140 plus shipping.  Would that be alright with you?  I imagine shipping from TX to UT wont be too bad, but I want to make sure that nothing is going to get rattled around too much during transit.  My family is coming in to visit this weekend and they're bringing me the box the Wii came in, so I'll pack it in there as best I can, and then put that box in a padded box or something, along with the items that didn't fit inside.

Actually nah, I'll pay for shipping.  It'll just be easier that way I think.  Plus we can work with nice round numbers.

I'll pm you my Paypal stuff and discuss when and where to ship.
Waiting hurts my soul...

Or save the $15 - 20 bucks and wait to actually give it to her until the marathon?

Considered it but I'd rather have the money now and also that would be more stuff I'd have to travel with.

True... the traveling with the stuff would be an issue, but she could always pay you in advance... But I'll stop talking for Essentia already and let you two work it out. Just wanted to throw that out there, because I know how much of a hassle shipping can be.

I wouldn't mind paying for shipping, but do what you think will be easiest.  I'd rather not pick it up at the marathon anyway, because I'd have to make room for it in my suitcase, which could be problematic.  Anyway, go ahead and send me a pm.

Alrighty, pm sent!

The Wii came today!  I tested everything out, and it all seems to work just fine.  Thanks a lot!

That's great to hear!  You are most welcome!
Stand: Devil's Call in your Heart
you can actually get the shop account moved from one wii to another one but it is really hard.

you need to have both serial numbers and somehow* convince the Nintendo rep over the phone that you can't send in the consoles so they do the transfer using the serial numbers alone and email. that's how i got my account moved to my second wii since the first one died mere months after launch and i had loaded the shop with 10000 points from the get-go.

*my excuse was my country and that i took apart the console so i couldn't even send it to the licensed repair center around my place

It's a non-issue at this point.  I've made my peace with losing my VC stuff and don't feel like lying to a Nintendo rep about it, anyway.

Edit: this transaction has been completed so I'm going to lock this thread for the time being.
