Currently I have a "Somagic" model, or SM-USB 007, and I've had no end of problems with it. Most importantly, it's incompatible with this piece of software: http://www.bentrask.com/easycap/, as well as Norichan.
According to that page, the Syntek and Empia models are supported, so I'll need one of those. Ideally I'd like one of the high quality audio models, but either way I plan to record from a Genesis (NTSC) and will be using its headphone port for audio.
These things go for less than $10 on eBay, but as some of you may know it's sort of a lottery. I live in the U.S., and can pay via PayPal.
