After spending about an hour fruitlessly looking for one of these on ebay.co.uk and ebay.de, and finding that none of them really ship to the US, I thought I'd poke around here.  I have everything I need to play it, and the game I need, but I just don't have the console.  :/

Help!  ^_^

Waiting hurts my soul...
Another option is getting someone in the UK or Germany that would be willing to forward it on to you if you're willing to go that route.

You didn't try hard enough, PJ.
WOW.
How much are you willing to pay? I have a boxed one and a load of games I don't use.

Boxed and extra games?  Can't say I was expecting that.  I was kind of looking for just a bare-bones console (with power cord, obv).  I honestly have no idea how much these usually cost.  How much would you be looking for?  Also, which games do you have?  I suppose we could take this to PM, actually...

WOW.
I would be looking for a high price though, and + shipping you would be dead :(. I would recommend getting one off eBay if you really want one thumbsup.

Hahaha.  Thanks for being honest!
WOW.
No problem, I would rather be honest than an overpricing prick. can't you get conversion kits?

For pal->ntsc NES... nope, the PPU, and CPU and CPU are fairly different between PAL and NTSC NES's and there is no easy way to convert short of desoldering said components and swapping them... I think.

Though if you have a homebrewed Wii, and the game you want to play is on the PAL VC, then you can get things to work, as long as you have a TV capable of displaying PAL video signal. However that method isn't exactly easy either.

Hello,

First: sorry for my bad english.
The other problem with PAL NES are the 2 different PAL Codes. PAL A (UK, Italy, Australia) and PAL B (Germany, France and the other States of EU). And they aren't compatible!!! This was/is a big problem with this console.

But there is an easy way to fix this. The LockoutChip Mod ist very very easy and with it, you can also play many US/JAP Games (not all) on a PAL Console. MAYBE it could be possible that you can do this Mod on US NES.

Greetings from Germany

BTW: The price of an bare- bone NES (with all cables) in Germany is ~8-10 Euro = 10 -13 $
