WinQuake, using the mouse

Ok, it maybe looks like a stupid question but anyway. I've recently got Scourge of Armagon and Dissolution of Eternity and it's write that I need WinQuake to play. So I downloaded WinQuake, I installed it but I can't use my mouse to look up and down. I checked in the controls and there's no way to set the mouse at look up or look down. Same thing with change weapon with wheelup/wheeldown.

I've always used joequake and it's never happened to me. How can I fix that?

Uh, try typing '+mlook' in the console.

However, JoeQuake should run either mod fine. I mean, we use it to speedrun the episodes, so I don't see what the problem would be.

Thanks it's working. But it was writed : Requires DOSQuake, WinQuake, or GLQuake. So I thought that joequake could not support it.

Can you tell me how to launch scourge of armagon? When I click on Play, nothing happen and when I use any quake engine, it launchs Quake 1 and I don't know how to change it.

If you run joequake and Scourge of Armagon is installed into 'hipnotic', then after it's started up, type this in the console:

gamedir hipnotic
exec quake.rc

Everything else should work fine after that.

When you type 'gamedir hipnotic', does it say something like

pak0.pak found (476 files added)

If not, it's not installed in the right place (if you find your 'id1' directory, it should be in the same place as that, i.e. wherever your joequake.exe is)

If it does, try 'map hipstart'.

When I type gamedir hipnotic, it doesn't say anything (But pak.0 is in the hipnotic folder) but when I type gamedir after, it say : Hipnotic

I can't change the place where I install soa. I have to take C/Program files/Quake or it will say that I need to have the registered version of Quake to play soa.

When I type map hipstart, it say : Couldn't spawn server maps/hipstart.bsp. But I have the map in C/Program files/Quake/Hipnotic/Maps !

It looks like this game just don't want to work Undecided

Any idea?

Um. Try starting joequake with -hipnotic on the command line. Seriously.
