ToG has been destroyed. No more breaks are possible imo...and I always use the soup on the darknut. And use it in Hyrule castle when you have to fight all those enemys. You know after you collect the Master Sword.

Ya I was gona mention the soup after the MS.Looks like we'll be using the soup more than we first thought.
It's also a HUGE advantage in the Savage Labryinth, helping us make it to the 40th floor.

31st, you mean.  The chart is on the 31st floor.

The 40th floor has pots that hold over 500 rupees which will help pay 3,385 to Tingle(decoding the triforce charts)

Oh, yes, of course.   Roll Eyes  Although that is technically the 41st floor...
True.  I find it funny how abusive the soup glitch can actually be. Grin

No.Going to the 41st floor may get us 500 rupees, but the last 10 floors are hell, even with the soup, an it takes forever.Watch the end of segment 19 of TSA's run. That gets 500 rupees much faster than floor 41 so only to floor 31 for the chart.TSA may have did a sloppy run but the triforce route is pretty good.
hi
it really is likely a lot faster just to keep entering and exiting that cave on overlook island (name?) and getting those rupees.

also don't forget the easy 200 rupees on dragon roost island (the string of bombs, that's easy enough to get when you come back for medli).

I think its stone watcher island. And thanks for bringing up the 200 rupees on DR!That'll be pretty good

EDIT:Just another note about the soup.We should use it for phantom ganon at FF2.I beat him in 30 seconds with it.Also with the soup it only takes 2 spin attacks for Helmaroc King. And using it on Jalhallah(name?)is also good to kill each poe in 1 hit.I definitely think we'll use the soup at least 30 times.Thank GOD for infinite soup!

You don't have to keep mentioning where to use the soup.  I think we're at the point where we know to use the soup on every boss. And I don't see why you don't want to get those pots on the 41st floor of the Savage Labryinth. It has pots in there with OVER 500 RUPEES!!!It's definetly worth going in there and continuing from floor 31 to 41.Hell, it will only take an extra 2 minutes. And floor 41 isn't the last floor, 51 is.With enough practice floors 31-41 will be easy and not "hell". Trust me, going to floor 41 will save a lot of time.

EDIT:Here's some little tricks I wanted to point out

Ok sorry unreal, you were right.30-40 aren't hell it was the last 10 floors I was thinking of but 30-40 is still slower than the stone watcher island method and to prove it I timed it.For the 30-40, it took me 7:23 and with stone watcher island method I got 500 rupees in less than 2 minutes.Only to floor 31 for the chart. No further.

Why not just use both methods then<_< And you're talking about the wrong island. Stone Watcher doesn't even include infinite rupees. Tell me the area the island you're talking about is.Stone Watcher is in C5.

No I'm talking about the right island.Stone watcher is the square right of islet of steel. When you go in the hole, hit the first pillar on your left for 101 rupees.keep re-entering for 101 rupees each time. It's at the end of segment 19 in TSA's run.If we use both methods we'll still end up being a few minutes short of what we could get.Sure its a bit boring going in a hole 25+ times to get rupees but its faster.End of story.

ToG timesaver:VERY old.

Ah...got to get my island names straight. Then that means the only difference in the updated Triforce route is save warping....what joy.
Yo Unreal, sorry I haven't been here to reply. Most of the tricks I've been finding have been found in-game by me, so my tricks are actually a little different anyway.

It shouldn't be very ironic, the time I mentioned me finding the tricks, because up until yesterday the game I was running was being kept secret by me.

I will say that I didn't use the DRC trick because a) I found it when I was already happy with my DRC route, b) I found it too risky for my liking.

I did use the FW timesaver, and I did find my method of doing it myself. Thing is, by the time I found my way of doing it, one way of doing it was already up on Tube, but I never knew about it until it was posted on this thread, leading me to believe I was the only one who knew. All I knew about earlier that wasn't found by me was a small collection of videos somewhere in this thread, but any other stuff I've been finding, since it wasn't here, was making me think it was new.

I'm not going to argue on who found the tricks first, but I'm saying I found those two before I knew there were videos on them. Kapeesh?

Anyway...

What I want to know about is some info on using the Tingle Tuner. I want to know that if I used that to make quick rupees,

A) I'd have to record the GBA in that segment, right?

B) I'm definitely thinking the run would be labeled 'Uses Tingle Tuner', as there would be a much better time on that run than a run that didn't use TT.

Yeah lets not argue about who found what. But you really should of used the DRC Boss Key trick. Simply give the trick its own segment...that's what I would of done, and that's how I planned out the DRC route.

Heh, you'd have to see what SDA would say about using the Tingle Tuner.TSA even said himself, that if he used the Tingle Tuner he would of got around 5 hours. And I agree. I'm not too sure SDA would allow the Tingle Tuner.

WW Parry Tricks and Moblin Boost
So what advantages does the Tingle Tuner give you that allow you to save over an hour?
I don't have my GBA cable anymore so I forgot a majority of the stuff Tingle does for you. But, I know he can help give you rupees, and can make you float in the air for periods of time. Maybe a sub 6 hour. Tongue
Food goes in here
It's not like using the tuner is cheating, it was intended by the developers, so I don't see why it couldn't be used.

It could be a separate category anyway.
I have no solution, but i admire the problem.
The problem is that you'd need to record everything that's happening on the GBA screen as well. And even if you can do that, how should the final video look like? Tingle screen and main screen in one video? Difficult.

Dont know if this had been mentioned yet or if it is of use but on the Island you start (forget the name, outset?). The large bridge that disappears later on and supposedly you would need the tingle tuner to walk to the other side for the giant wallet you can climb onto the wooden support beams and set the wind direction into your back and you can just barely make it to the other side. (with that green leaf).

Havent played this in ages so forget the terms.

w/o tingle tuner you get to other side easily by jumping off highest point of island just next to bridge.

If you can just walk with TT to other side, then it is definately a huge timesaver.

No it would be a huge time waster. It takes a very long time to call tingle.its better just to deku leaf across.I don't think the TT will actualy be much help so lets forget about it.

On another note, I just finished my ToG speedrun with a time of 13:30, again w/o the boss.I was going to include godan in this one because ToG has to be a SS but I came across a weird glitch.Even when I hit the hands 2 times, the came back to life 2 seconds later and didnt die untill 6 hits each Shocked Shocked Huh? Huh? so i didn't include him.I think a sub 15:00 should be possible including godan.
