Hello, I have a Black Magic Intensity Pro that I wish to use to capture some Virtual Console footage with and stream. I have it setup to where it can capture normal Wii games. Is there anyway to capture the Virtual Console with it or am I going to have to get another capture device specifically for the Virtual Console?

Fucking Weeaboo
Capturing Wii games and Virtual Console/WiiWare games is 100% identical.  Some WiiWare/Virtual Console games do look better depending on whether the screen is set to 4:3 or 16:9 mode.
Alright, I guess I just have to mess with the settings. Whenever I have gone into the virtual console games my screen usually stops showing the game and my computer stops capturing it.
oh, the "240p" thing. try searching the forum. yeah, i think you may be screwed. maybe pick up an easycap and use norichan or something if you have a decent system and are low on cash.
Yes
Virtual console games use their default output of 240 lines of resolution, but the Intensity Pro can only capture at 480 lines of resolution or higher.  There is still hope!  There is a setting in virtual console games where you can actually change the resolution from 240 to 480.

While on the Wii Channel Menu (main screen of the Wii), connect a Nunchuk to Wii Remote.
Select the Virtual Console game from the Wii menu, then select "Start" to begin the game.
When the game starts, press the Home button on the Wii Remote. (In many games, the music can be heard when the game starts.)
Select "Operations Guide" from the Home menu.
Press the Z + A + 2 Button simultaneously (the Z Button is on  the Nunchuk).  A sound will be heard if the button combination has been  entered correctly.
Close the Home menu
The game should now be captured using the Intensity

*Some of the very first few releases for the Virtual Console don't support this
Do I have to do that every time? Or is it possible to do that once and it works for every game every time?
You only have to do it once.

Just wanna make sure of something. When you load up a VC game it will be 240p output right straight without configuration?

Is there then a way to go back to 240p from 480i selection after following Mr. K steps?

If I remember correctly, to set it back to 240p, instead of pressing Z + A + 2, you press Z + A + 1.

Makes sense yeah. 1 is 240p and 2 is 480i. Thanks.
