no, it's nothing personal against you guys. I love your zelda-work. There are just too many 13-year-olds calling themselves "super-hero-master-in-everything" while being dumber than sliced bread. So forgive me when I'm suspicious whenever I see a nick that lacks modesty.

There's no real story behind it, but it seems to have several relations to food. For example, Portuguese (sp?) for 'cheese' is 'Queijo'. Grin

It's a coincidence how I used to have an obsession with cheese when I was 12.

As my first post to veer away from the formal speedrun disscussion boards, I'll just say that my name has no meaning... I just made it up like I usually do since I don't like to name myself after an anime character or something. Pretty random now that I think about it...

Disclaimer: I have only vaguely skimmed through parts of this thread.

I have to imagine my story is above average, so here goes. Back in the day, a lot of us would go to the local university labs to play LAN games such as Descent, Warcraft, etc. Most of us just used our first names, but I saw some people use names like Magus and Kain and Crono and thought that was pretty stupid. (Oh, little did I know, with the Internet explosion...) So to make fun of these people, I made my handle Enhasa (the first town in Chrono Trigger in the floating Zeal kingdom) and have used it ever since. I like this name for several reasons.

1) It pokes fun at names involving Magus, Sephiroth, and the like. I don't think this is as much of a problem nowadays because Tidus is a total wuss.
2) Enhasa the song (and the place too, really) is badass! Copied from bisqwit's: "I have a theme song, and yes it rocks! Although I like the forest music slightly better. But Forest Music would be a bad handle, I think."
3) It's a good litmus test. Back in the day, everyone and their mother thought it was cool to like CT. So people would be like "Enhasa, where's that from?" and I would respond CT, to which they would look confused for a second, feign knowledge, and reply "Oh yes, Enhasa was awesome." It would also be fun to get the occasional person who would know where it came from and say "hey, wasn't that a town?" It doesn't happen much anymore though.
4) It's a feminine sounding name. This can lead to funny situations when people assume incorrectly. This doesn't happen much anymore either. Must be these video game message boards that give it away, ha.
5) It rolls off the tongue nicely.
6) I don't have to share my name with anyone. Take that, Sephiroth6666!

I would continue but as you can see it is a good thing because I use my powers for awesome.

Enough shameless self-promotion, time for me to guess a couple of nicks that I've been wondering about. Anyone can feel free to answer if they know. Sorry if they've already been answered, I didn't want to cheat. Wink

1) Radix: I was going to guess comes from the Epic game, but since I now know this from the Jazz Jackrabbit thread, I guess I have no point.
2) Molotov: This is probably molotov cocktail, but I really have no idea which game this could be from. So in case it's a trick question (think: "none of these pigs are my parents"), I'll go with "not from a game."
3) marshmallow: I would not have gotten this, but I started watching through the CT run (still watching, it's 5 hours heh) and during Cyrus's flashback scene he says "Glenn, you're a marshmallow." Not every line can be immortalized like "you spoony bard," but not for lack of trying.

I know the best name I've ever heard. I'm working on the Napolean unit, and the Congress of Vienna in Social 20 right now, and we're going over some of the names of representatives and so forth.

One of the guy's names is "Furst von Hardenburg." Is that not the best fucking name ever? No idea why I decided to mention that, but yeah....
