I normally don't keep defaults, but I do love SDA!
I'm not talking about just SDA.

What's the fastest Non-TAS recorded time of ever beating any game?

And by "Game", i mean professionally produced game (Not new game --> click button to win 'Click button' "YOU'RE WINNNER!")
Thread title:
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
No idea, but if you want to secure that record run Kings Bounty until you drop dead (at least on Genesis).

Why, how fast can you beat Kings Bounty?
the TAS beat it with 0.3 seconds of gameplay. You're supposed to find something that's randomly hidden somewhere in the game world and find clues to it's location or something, though it can be manipulated to be hidden at your starting position, so you just press "search" and game over. Otherwise, it takes hours.

Solitaire is the fastest non-assisted speedrun.

Minesweeper (at least on beginner) can theoretically be won in one click.  It's a professional game at least Smiley

OK, non bundled with the Windows OS game Smiley

Will SDA accept a mindsweeper speed run?
Hi! I'm andrewg!
Dark Castle!

Maybe E.T. for atari?
Not a Zelda 2 refrence

Windows mindsweeper can't be won in one click. It uses a finite set of boards like freecell.
Minesweeper already has a site for this kind of thing http://www.metanoodle.com/minesweeper/
The fastest one on the site is Dark Castle at 1:19 and that's fairly hard to beat.
I wonder if those crazy Maxim Harmony of Dissonance glitches are doable in real time.

I submitted at run at 57 seconds if my timing was correct. I couldn't possibly be off by more than 5.

I'm wondering what the "world record" for fastest run is.
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
Found out it is zero, open Solitaire and hold Shift Alt and 2 and you'll "win" with 0 on the clock (it plays the ending animation). Wikipedia says minesweeper can be beaten in one click too, but the wording is weird I cant tell whether it will show 0 or 1 seconds, i guess it depends on the windows version.

Theoretically, games can be solved with one click, but this is not the case as the Windows version of minesweeper uses a finite set of cycling boards, while clones accepted for rankings impose 3BV[9] limits.

The time would be 1 because minesweeper starts time at 1 sec and not 0.

If your interested in if there are faster speed runs then on this site go talk to TG.

That's the cheat code to win instantly.

Indeed, you are correct.  A 1-click victory in Minesweeper is 1 second.

OK, so lets go back to Fastest "Not bundled with Windows" Speed Run
Hi! I'm andrewg!
Yeah, I am wondering about a console or PC game. I beat where's waldo? in about a minute once (or it seemed to take that long anyway)

SNES Clock Tower can be beaten in 30 seconds if you get the bad ending.  This also assumes the timer starts when player takes control and doesn't include scinematics.

Run left, 180 at first brother, 180 at door, try car twice.

Wow, i just read the wiki:

H ending
This ending is the quickest to accomplish, and considered the 'worst'. Jennifer stumbles across an old car in the mansion garage, and finds the key to the car in a nearby crate. At first she is unable to leave behind her friends in the mansion, but after repeated attempts to enter the car, eventually gives in and attempts to escape, driving through the wall of the shed. In the cutscene, a pair of scissors can be seen rising from the back seat in the front mirror, Jennifer becomes shocked, and screams. The screen then fades black.

\
Someone should run it (I don't have nor ever heard of clocktower before now)

I found a youtube of the H ending

It took him 1 min just from when he entered the garage, but maybe all that hiding bathroom stuff isn't necessary and he might have not been spaming the action button to clear text.

Here's a youtube of all the endings:

It's-a me, Stalin!
I have a game on my iPod Touch called 'The Game' and you press a button and it immediately says you lose. It's completed as quick as you react.
I'd like to nominate that for best game ever.

Oh I get it it's a reference to that one game that became an internet sensation. That's pretty clever and I don't think anybody's thought of it before.

You shouldn't have to hide at all.  Going left triggers one of the twins from the skylight. Going to the room you came from, then turning back around will make him disappear, making the path to the car very direct.

This is the only true console game I can think of with a quick and legit end.
The baddle haz jusd begunn!
For the fastest speed run of "the game," direct a newborn to this address: http://xkcd.com/391/

My ET speedrun was only 1:21, but that was on emulator, so I can't submit it.
