Just out of curiosity, what system do you like so much that you want more runs done on it?

And i would have to say Game Boy/Game Boy Color/Game Boy Advance

EDIT1:But mainly Genesis or Dreamcast since there is so few games for those two systems Especially Dreamcast with how many games are actually made for it and did not get that much attention.

PSP. and i plan to remedy that situation in the coming months.
Neo Geo!

If only I had one... (with lots of games ;p)
Haters gonna hate
Sega Master System.
Let the music play!
Genesis/MegaDrive

And I'm disppointed no-one has mentioned the Saturn yet.

This wouldn't be an issue if SNK could release a halfway-decent port for once. Angry
Never give up!
There's a couple.

Neo-Geo is one.  The other is the TurboGrafx-16, believe it or not (I confess it has something to do with the fact that it's the only system I've seen whose turbofire-capable controllers are OFFICIAL ones - really, it's just asking for some insane real-time tricks in SOME game).

Good luck.  (You'll need it. Tongue )

Also, wii needs more Wii runs.  I'm working on a few myself right now.

Haha.  Wii needs more Wii......

Yeah, I'll go back to working on runs now.
welcome to the machine
Uh... all of them?
Hi! I'm andrewg!
NES! Wink

also... sega genesis, super nintendo (mainly)

everything else is good too.  Smiley
Saturn.

Sonic 3D Blast, the Clockwork Knight games, Silhouette Mirage, Panzer Dragoon Saga, NiGHTS... Most of the good games on the Saturn were on rails, though. =[
fuck you i wont do what you tell me
Nintendo DS, duh.  But of course that is unlikely to happen due to the difficulty of recording.

Same.. I want Ninty to release the DSi Video App that saves in-game movie files into the SD card and of course transfer them into PC. Then I will make the (quite hyped) Phantom Hourglass remake.
Amiga and DOS (though DOS counts as PC).
Though there are no runs for these systems, I would love to see (-more) runs for WonderSwan Color/Crystal and N-Gage. Both of these are a pain to run, mostly because WSC doesn't have a backlight, so recording it without heavy modification is impossible, and you'd have to record N-Gage with a video camera, making the process pain and the feel to the controls ass. What's more, most of the games for the latter system aren't easily speed runnable, and if you have the original version of the phone, the controls suck big time.

I'm currently looking for ways to record WSC properly. One possibility is to use a GBA-transverter to hijack the signal for the screen and use a separate audio out cable to record the sound. Easy, no?

Also Wii and PSP. Then again there aren't much games for Wii that could be speed ran that well (can be run, but not suited for that IMO, mind you). Gonna work something for the latter, eventually.
wii needs more ... and i'm hoping to add a couple wii runs soon.  almost done with my PoP RS run, and then i'm gonna work on Lost Winds
Silver Hawk!
TG-16/PCE

Isn't the Rondo of Blood run an emulation of the game?  we need actual hardware runs!

Virtual Boy?

Yes.  It was performed on the Wii port of the game, because I'm not spending $400+ on getting a PC-Engine Turbo Duo, memory card, and a copy of the game.  Sorry.

I decided to put my money where my mouth is and actually buy a Sega Saturn. Now all I need are suggestions of speedrunnable games that are available for it. I'm expecting to pay around £20-25 for the console itself, if I can acquire a memory card that will help (since I am aware most of the Saturn's internal memory is failing), and of course I'd probably have to get an S-Video cable to be able to record off it. Games should be reasonably cheap, there is a store near me that specialises in retro games so I can probably get hold of most PAL-released Saturn games. I'd especially love to do a run of Story of Thor 2, I always enjoyed that game when I last had a Saturn.

Or get a modchip, if you have the right type of Saturn.  It's ridiculously easy if you do - 2 wires.  I can't remember where I got mine, so I'll do some looking around.  But I did install it myself - very VERY easy.  Easiest console I've ever modded.

Edit: Boy I found that site quick.

http://www.angelfire.com/pa/Raluminat/index.html

Mine was this one: Round power and reset buttons / 21 pin ribbon cable / 32 pin IC.  (Difficulty: 1/5 - Success Rate: 99%)

They sell chips for $25 (USD)

I'm going to start naming random Saturn games with no thought and without any rhyme or reason and definitely not necessarily cheap. Please filter for me in your mind, some of these have ports on other systems, also please convert names into European version. I think more than any other console, you need to be able to play imports, which is one big reason why it wasn't so popular here. I should probably shorten this list into what I actually want to see, but whatever. Also some of these games aren't very good. Also wow there are a lot of RPGs. Also I know I am missing tons of games that make more sense.

Dragon Force 1
Dragon Force 2
Dungeons and Dragons Collection (Tower of Doom + Shadow over Mystara)
Grandia: Digital Museum
Iron Storm
Langrisser Tribute (the whole series is on Saturn)
Legend of Oasis (this is Story of Thor 2)
Linkle Liver Story
Magic Knight Rayearth
Magic School Lunar
Master of Monsters: Neo Generation
Nanatsu Kaze no Shima Monogatari (very underappreciated)
Nights into Dreams
Pandemonium
Panzer Dragoon Zwei (if you think I'm kidding, Megatherium didn't lobby his ass off for nothing)
Panzer Dragoon Saga
Princess Crown
Samurai Shodown RPG
Saturn Bomberman
Scorcher
Shining Force 3
Shining Wisdom
Shining the Holy Ark
Shinobi Legends
Silhouette Mirage
Slayers Royal 1
Slayers Royal 2
Sonic 3D Blast
Sonic Jam (I guess)
Sonic R
Tempest 2000 (I think you can kill dudes faster)
Three Dirty Dwarves

You can throw vs games into there if you want, they're not traditionally considered for speedruns but my brain is fried already.
panzer dragoon zwei is very runnable. i was actually working on a run a long time ago before the same ol same ol happened and i quit. if someone does a run they'll get my love and affection.
everybody wanna tell you the meaning of music
Megatherium was going to do PD2 (and Burning Rangers) and he already has my love and affection for being a Sega nut plus being the only person who would get the MF DOOM references I sneaked into this last update. America's most blunted!

There's been a PDO boss rush run on archive.org (by a rogue guy) for forever too. It's too bad the vid quality is way too crappy for SDA IIRC.

It helps that these two are on a multitude of other systems.

Also, we need an official run of SOTN w/ Maria, dammit.

Well, that certainly is a large list to play with. I knew the Saturn had a decent selection of titles specific to the console, but this should give me a clearer idea of what games I could potentially speedrun.

I've played the Saturn version of Sonic 3D, and it has some interesting differences between its 16-bit counterpart - namely the different special stages, more reminiscent of Sonic 2, and the soundtrack is entirely different as well. It would be definitely on my list to attempt, for sure.
