Heya, I was wondering, wht drives you to master a game?
I guess I'm asking the age-old yet complex question of "Why do we speedrun?"
Like,  what do you find the most fun when it comes to taking on the ambition of mastering a game for speedrunning?
Thread title:
On behalf of everybody: "if I don't work my ass off, SDA won't accept my run". Wink

For myself the answer is: ‘Hey, this is fun!’
Playing  games is one of the recently developed modes of entertainment. These games are stress busters and help you to relax and relieve stress. Get fun, entertainment.
F*ckin' sanity effects...
There just wasn't a good run anywhere online of the only game I've ever chosen to run seriously (Eternal Darkness segmented).  I think if there had been a good effort out there, I wouldn't have done it.  I wanted to see it, so I had to do it.  There still isn't a GREAT run of Eternal Darkness anywhere online.  Maybe I'll make one some time.  That's what drives me.
