I have been wondering if this game is able to be speedrunned since it is a game that requires you to be online. I have found a trick that may help with speedrunning it. I have found that on surfaces that you can jump onto, you can clip into the surface and then walk through it. I just thought it would be helpful to post this, in case anyone could use it to help with speed running. The way I found this is the area where you can interact with to access the spoils of war. I found that jumping right against the two walls and then moving forward right as you start to fall allows you to clip into the surface. I have also found at least two other places you can clip into due to this trick. I am already testing this on as many areas as I can and am finding that clipping into lower surfaces that you can jump onto is much harder and/or frame perfect as well.
Edit: I found if you crouch while in a surface you can't get back up until you leave that surface.
Thread title:
If it just has some kind of periodical authentication check, that doesn't affect it from a speedrun point of view. It's MMORPGs that are problematic.
Well no one has fixed it yet. I am still able to clip into a couple surfaces. I even got clipped into the side of a mountain once.
I found a new trick that can be used for speedrunning the levels. When you are using the character Sienna Fuegonasus and her Battle Wizard Career you can use her teleport ability to teleport up walls and even straight into the air. To do this you hold f and move around the circle that pops up and then aim it towards a wall and then aim up into the sky as far as possible. When this works you should see your flame in the sky. If you want to teleport to a ledge you do the process, that I just mentioned, and try to aim a little short of the sky to where you can see your flame and/or the circle at the point or area you want to teleport to. The teleporting can be very difficult and anything that takes your focus away, even slightly, can make this trick up to 10x harder. So far I have used this trick to get to grimoire locations faster, teleport back up drop down areas, and to get to spots that aren't blocked by invisible walls but that you cannot get to normally. I have a feeling this trick could be vital to saving time for completeing all levels faster, especially if you are completeing all levels and grabbing all tomes and grimoires. I have found, though, that if you teleport straight into the air you can hurt yourself from the falling damage.
