Okay seems like i probably will be ready at 8 pm.

And no the other levels shouldn't be nearly as technical. The problem with the current level is that it essentially have a lot more mission objectives that most other levels. Level 4 might be a problem as well, but it seems like Artur1 already discovered a seemingly perfect way of completing it.

Streaming session for today over. Seems like the time limitter is the basebuilding. However, a problem that have emerged is that I dont have the multitasking to kill uther fast while building the necessary buildings at the same time. This is a huge problem and I dont know how to effectively solve it right now. Im thinking I would have to invent another, more effective way than the half circle.

Actually I dont even have to do #3 on your drawings. With that setup I can easily do it between 1 and 2. The problem is that a straight tunnel setup is waaaay slower than the half circle setup. I wish there was something in between...
There are speedruns of entire games that have gotten less attention to planning than this single level.

No, I dont think I can do both at the same time without lagging. However once I do settle on a final strategy, I will probably be streaming a lot of practice runs just to get good at playing the level.

Also, I have become ill and thus I probably wont be streaming tomorrow. Sad
Better way to create a enduring masterpiece is seclusion. Now we just disturbance. No need to streaming more.
If UD-02 not required extra-brainstorm, next session you can streaming undead-03 for a change (when you become unill).

You can meticulous check up Artur1's proposition, so far as it is potentially very good trick. Skip the bigger half of the map and surprise attack enemy from unprotected side. Is not this the speedrun cherished dream?

If dont switch on cutscene, before the third depravity tree are destroyed, victory trigger don't work.
And I'm sure that elf-04 in good hands is sub5.

Yep! Its on tomorrow! Im still going to play chapter 2, at least till I feel like I have nailed the uther part!

Once that is done I can start looking at chapter 3. I havnt looked at the chapter yet at all though. So I will be sorta starting from scratch on that one.

Testable hypothesis 1: the code for testing whether a unit's path to its destination is blocked assumes the unit is of normal size, and Uther is bigger than normal size, so the code that checks if he's trapped thinks he can escape out of the right-hand-side of the tunnel when really he can't.

Testable hypothesis 2: the game only considers a unit's path to its destination to be 'blocked' when it can't reach any point which is closer (as the crow flies) to its destination than where it currently is - it doesn't have to be able to actually reach the destination.

Others may add their own speculations, I can't think of anything else.

I start out by playing a bit SC2.  (some pretty good games if you are interested in sc2 Tongue ) If you dont want to watch that then just fast forward past it.


Okay so I feel like chapter 2 is done when it comes to planning. At least I will have to do a lot of practicing before I can determine if the current strategy works optimally. It doesn't make sense that I do during the weekly streaming session. However, if people would like it, I can still stream the practice session. It would obviously be different: I wouldnt pay attention to the chat, wouldnt commentate and would listen to music meanwhile.
I dont know when I will be doing that because I frankly dont have much time this week. So might be some time during the next week instead.


Anyways, working on chapter 3 planning now. Artur1 strat seems to have potential. The question is if it can be done and if so - how fast can you build the necropolis while still surviving the following battle. The first problem is how to kill the gnolls effectively while still keeping sylvanas away.
Again a nice streaming session. I also enjoyed the SC2 part. Smiley

I think there is a Scroll of Protection in a tent in Uther's camp (in Normal at least). Is there any time for Arthas to get it? Could be helpful in chapter 3, while fighting the gnolls for example, because you still have free item slots at this point.
Btw, can't you force Uther to run outside of the circle of death for once ? It should take more time for him then to reach the spot but I'm not sure if you can "rebuild" the normal circle again.

That would be the strategy if I can't get the other thing to work consistently.
