HELLO!

I'm going to be doing an Extra Life 25 hour marathon on November 2. It's a video game collective marathon where I imagine people will be playing video games of all sorts. I expect to do mostly speed running, but it doesn't have to be.

Heard about it from Emptyeye who did it before and I believe will also be doing it this year.

CORRECTION: < emptyeye> Pres: One clarification, the 24 Hours of Mega Man thing I did wasn't for Extra-Life, that was just as MAGFest X.

So apparently this is a first time in this particular marathon event for both of us.

Rize Up Gaming, an organization that does a lot of charity marathons and stands against racism/sexism/etc. in gaming culture, are holding a fundraiser to become an officially recognized 501(c)(3) charity. It's just starting now, and goes until Monday at Midnight. Hopefully you'll stop by and check it out throughout, but if you're just interested in me, I'll be playing Saturday from 3PM to 7PM EST. ~~I'll probably start by speedrunning Metroid II, and fill the rest of the time with some casual Super Metroid play~~. Changed my mind on what I'm playing.

An online diary of all upcoming community events (live or internetty) would be amazing - I know I'm asking for work of other people so that's an issue then I'd be happy to maintain a public spreadsheet or something. Also Speedathon is coming up soon on the internets.

Starts Sept 12th at 2pm EST and finishes Sept 17th at 6pm EST.
