Unreal Speed Run

I love YaBB 1G - SP1!

I was watching the speed run for Unreal and in stage 3 (Rrajigar Mine) after he pushes the two switches, and runs back to the part where you are locked in a small area, he uses the basic blaster to leap himself over the bar. I've tried any possible way of doing that myself...still can't do it. How in the world does he accomplish that move?

I know it's possible with other weapons (ie. Rocket Launcher)...but how so with that weapon???

you have to use secondary fire to do that, primary fire does no splash damage so it doesn't boost you at all. Theres actually a better route where you never have to do that, but I'm too lazy to finish the run (theres a lot of improvements that can be made), maybe in January I'll start working on it again.

Now THAT was freakin awesome!!! I'll go and try it again later tonight when I get home. Not going for a speed run...just wanna have fun doing stuff in the game.

putting everything together on rrajigar is probably one of the toughest things to do in the whole speedrun so don't be discouraged if you don't get it right away. It took me at least 150 tries before I got what was in that video. If you want to see some of the other levels "improved" routes look on youtube for my other videos. I have a good number of levels posted up there.
