Unreal: Return to Na Pali

Hi all, as you can see this is my first post. :banana:

I was thinking of doing a speedrun of Unreal in Unreal difficulty (hardest) till I saw that the expansion wasn't mentioned in the games list. Now I'm playing through the expansion to find the best routes etc. I bumped onto this thread:

about a speedrun of Na Pali which wasn't submitted to SDA so right now I'm downloading it to see how I can improve the run.

My question is: since there are few people out there who have the expansion, would there be any verifiers to check my run?

Speed is everything!

I haven't played the expansion, but I would be interested in seeing a run of Unreal: Return to Na Pali.
So I'll wish you good luck if you'll do a run. Wink

I think that speedrun was done on easy, so your run will probably be very different due to how the self-damage mechanics change on hard.

On high difficulty levels you can only try to do a jump trick with the DP altfire or the new CAR altfire as eightballs and plasma balls deal to much damage to yourself. But on easy skill the new grenade launcher is great to make big jumps. Btw I think the German speedrun was done on medium difficulty.

I aprecciate that you are trying to beat that game too, not many people have that game nor know it.

I could ... if i find enough time verify that run.

what version are you using? 2.24?

edit: @roy_hess: I've been trying to run the first three levels but I never seem to get any faster times then you did so I think I'll quit focusing on this run. :-/

Hi, this is a nice idea, and I do have this expansion(from the new bought Unreal Anthology) and have played it before(installation only takes minutes so a re-play should be quick). The problem is that I don't know what does "verify" mean, maybe someone can explain this to me?
