If Denmark is really THAT expensive, why not meeting at for example Flensburg? That city is pretty near the Denish border. Well, just an idea.
cool idea. but im afraid Stubgaard does not live there....... ;P
just kidding of course...
so the Kleve in Germany is not that far away from Hamburg anyway (Kleve @ the A3 i guess ?!?). maybe some nearby peeps should meet in Hamburg anyway sometimes and drink throughout the whole Reeperbahn. also just an idea...
* price for hotel * groups for a hotel with rooms * hotel with meal or not * necessary is the price of all this meeting
I have a friend living in a tent in Christiania smooking weed all day long. Im sure if you give him some green peace you can split the tent with him for a week Also. If friiispeegolf turns out to be boring we can always pay him a visit.
both Frisbeegolf and tivoli sounds fun. What about visiting some museums
Also. There is a chance I take the car from Oslo. If so, everyone who wants to be picked up. Just tell me.
'Tigger77' come from south germany and this is good for my own game for this meeting. He has tell me, he can really good drunk beer. -> Speed Beer Drunk Tournament
Have you for 'djcj' and me a place in your car ?

No problem, I have enough brown pressed weed in my home. I do not travel without brown shit to copenhagen.

For 'djcj' and me is it very necessary to travel from Hamburg to Copenhagen with a car. The problem for us is we have both not a car. We are hope for 'MetzGER'. Or 'Tigger77' but we need answers.
"Deutsche Bahn" (German national railway) is offering relatively cheap tickets to Copenhagen (39€ for one track so 78€ total) which is by much cheaper than traveling by car for me (far away from anyone else in previous post's maps of Germany) ( http://www.bahn.de/p/view/preise/international/europa-spezial-daenemark.shtml ). But this isn't without problems: (1) This offer is now and tickets cannot be booked more than 90 days in advance, I don't know whether it'll be still there next year (2) You're forced to take exactly the trains you've booked (unless it's their failure of course, e.g. trains being too late) (3) I haven't been able to find a train where this offer was actually available. May have to ask them directly

Kleve in NRW. I can drive here to the Netherlands by bike.

As a minor side note, one way tickets, regularly priced, are 169€ from southern germany for me, which likely aren't going to be significantly cheaper for 400 or 500 kilometers northwards. And it's a 15 hours ride. If anything, I'll likely end up taking a plane.
"Likely to go" is very much an exaggeration for me. I have no idea what I'm doing at the time. From me it's a very strong "maybe". If I go, it's possible I'll just go over a day or so. I don't drink, see.
Will this be a "Speedrunner get-together"? I'm no speedrunner myself, I'm quite new to the community.
Currently I'm livin' in Berlin, but I will probably spent my holiday at my hometown near Flensburg at the end of July. So if anybody could pick me up on the way to th north, I would come too. Or maybe I could join a group-ticket? A Metallica concert would be to much for my wallet, especially since we are going to drink in Denmark I'm more the "drink'n'talk" type of guy.
Ok, if we're going to Metallica we better decide quickly. 4 out of 5 concerts are already sold out, the only one with tickets left is the concert on the 28th of July. Is that a good date?
edit: i just started a poll. i'm not sure if it's any good, as i was in a hurry, but here it is: http://doodle.com/feqkycx52rt389zg If you have a suggestion, i can change it or make a new poll anytime.
whew. how about starting a poll on how many people would join each meeting for each of the cities? I'm not sure if i could come to Copenhagen, but i'd most likely make it to Hamburg or Klewe ( coming from NRW ).
dex: How are you gonna get there ? Train ? You're from Krakow, right ? Because you could get to my place by train or bus, then we'd drive with my car. I could use a navigator, because I really suck in travelling I live near Hradec Kralove, which is almost right between Berlin and Krakow. We could also pick Astra from Berlin. And yeah, I'd definitely go to Metallica concert.
Btw, another activity we should do is Serious Sam COOP !!! TheVoid has to come, though.

Sad news: Metallica is not an option anymore since it took so long for people to decide, 4/5 concerts are sold out. And there are very few tickets left for the 5th one. More sad news: TheVoid has already said he won't come.

Yeah, than I could ride with you to kopenhagen and than have my holiday near sylt, that would be perfect!
1) Will dex go with me 2) Do we have to bring our PCs - I suppose yes 3) What car I'll have in half a year. You see, I plan to buy a bigger one since the current one is old Fiat Tipo, which can carry 4 people without PCs or 3 with PCs (unless you want to sit 500kms with a monitor on your knees), but I'm not sure I'll have the one by that time. I could perhaps borrow my dad's car though, which is Mondeo combi, then 4 people with PCs would be ok.

Actually, I intended to go by plane, but train to Hradec would probably be cheaper, so it's possible I would jack a ride in your car :).
I suck at travelling too, though. I sometimes get lost in my own city ;).
