Been looking into this a whole lot lately, figured I might as well make a thread in case someone else is insane enough to consider running this. Also will probably be easier to just dump findings here once I start working on the english version.

For the most part the routes between english and japanese are the same. Thanks to at least one high strength making character in each story, which allows you to build them towards axes and abuse the fact that Time Lapse and Reverse Delta deal very high HP damage while also having a decent chance to deal LP damage.

The problem starts when you try to figure out how to get to the end of the game. The starting shop inventories for characters are different between english and japanese versions, so trying to directly copy the route japanese runners use is not possible. Not to mention what panels you get at the end of quests, how characters need to be built, and what, if any, side quests need to be done.

I'll most likely focus on Judy initially, since her story is the shortest by a hour or so.
Thread title:
What panel would you aim for ? I'm currently playing through Laura's scenario and considering the huge amount of randomness in this game, aiming for a really good run and getting everything you want would be a huge hassle.

For what I have played, I guess you would need Aura, which reduces the encounter rate, to be able to negotiate against merchants for good prices and before being able to have axes fighters, I guess you would need to rely on spells that deals a lot of damage.

But I really need to find a way to see the exact stats that every skills deals when it comes to HP and LP, but Axes is one of the greatest weapons for sure.
As far as I understand, you need Monger (to reduce the price of items in shops), Axe panels (obviously for the strength character that will focus on attacking), and Unarmed panels (Throw/Kick/Punch, all of which raise strength a fair amount). Outside of those specific panels, it's mostly about dealing with what you are given and trying to play to each character's strengths. Panel combos are where I start to get very uncertain about what you need specifically, but that's easily solved by looking through information about panels and figuring out combinations give good results.

Outside of Judy's scenario you don't use magic at all, since it's the slowest attack type in the game bar none, deals less damage than most physical attacks, and is difficult to actually start learning (magic tablets are rare items, and you need them to learn magic). In Judy's scenario, since so many of your characters are magic focused (have high magic making, start out with magic tablets, very low strength/skill making) you're pretty much forced to use magic for almost all attacks (you get one character very early that is good with physical, and he is the main damage dealer for the endgame).

The limited english resources for this game make it hard to say for certain whether there actually is a damage formula or not that could be used to calculate damage for weapons outside of Axes, but from what I can gather it's random (though influenced by current HP) how much HP damage you do, and it's random whether you deal LP damage at all (and how much damage is dealt).
