I started up a speedrun(GC version) today because I am stuck in my first playthrough. I just beat the goron mines and am at 2:22. for comparison TSAs visual guide at that point is 3:35. Im just doing this for fun, and to see what kind of time is possible.

Oh, and glitches win trips.(best anagram ever)
ROFL at that door glitch.

I've just been trying to pass through the path to Snowpeak for about an hour. I found the path on another file, and noticed that I could just hug the left wall and be alright until a specific rock jutted out (the second one), and then I kept running into an invisible wall, and going back to the start.

Then, I got the reekfish scent, and went through the same way with no problems whatsoever. So I'm pretty confident (95%) that there is a wall blocking access without the reekfish scent.

However, I did find out that the gravestone hides you from Ralis. If you didn't know that, that'll save about 15 seconds or so after getting the coral earring.

Of course, if somebody finds a way to get through that wall, then it'd save a lot more than 15 seconds.

Fierce, the game freezes probably for the same reason that it does in OoT for forest. It hasn't loaded a specific movie into RAM and it tries to call on it. So it chills there waiting. I'm sure you can still access the ol wii menu still right? Or is is total console lockup? I don't think that the game would freeze from multiple instances of an NPC. That would be dumb and wouldn't make any sense. Sweet trick by the way.

Well it only freezes when you exit as epona and I can't reset when the game is frozen.
Note that the game won't freeze if you do the trick before you herd the goats. This only happens because epona is suppose to "take the day off"

He's back!

I don't know if its of any use since I'm currently stuck at Lake Hylia (no I don't want help), but I've noticed the ice sheet near where the domain is, I've been able to back flip into the ice and get half of Wolf Links body into it, but when I use the ^c to turn around as soon as his face touches it he gets frozen, I'm pretty sure it would work if Link is facing the correct way since it would be very simalar to the house glitch in Lake Hylia in relation to OoT, I'm refering to the ice sheet where the Zora says "I'll have to let it thaw".

is there any way to glitch out wolf links attacks? If so, arbiters grounds could be improved a good couple seconds, and using wolf link to get around the dungeon might also save some time. If its possible to use midna's attack on poes it would definitely kill em in one shot and make the whole dungeon go more smoothly..

EDIT: I'm about to check to see if the cutscenes in the end are skippable, because the credits take up around 15 minutes alone. That would save maybe 5 minutes.

Anything after loss of control isn't counted. I'm guessing the best way for people to get their times would be to save the game while Link is jumping toward Ganondorf to deliver the finishing blow.

Crap, ok. So first off, we can go into the twilight realm for the way over to kakariko, and I think midna will let us warp too if we can kill those 3 dudes, but... I can't do it so far. We have no B charge attack, and we have no senses, though we can in fact learn scents. Neither can we talk to midna using up... only on auto ones where midna pops out on her own. We'll hae to work around this.

Yes it was, I realize its not a fair comparison, but your visual guide is the only thing I have to compare to. Oh, and thats too bad about hyrule field early, couldn't you collect the first set of tears of light and then be able to do it? You'd still skip the forest temple which is like 20 minutes.

Man, that awesome. Can't believe you got through that way, I tried it for about an hour.

About killing those 3 dudes... have you tried a wolf spin attack? The range of it is ridiculous (in a bad way), but if you kill one of them, then weaken the other two down to 1 hp you might be able to get them together and quick spin them to death.

Having messed around with Links movements, I'm pretty condident that the fastest form of movement is side stepping, since it seems to go side step, roll, side step roll with very quick alternations.
