I'm not THAT bad.
Just finished the first segment, could be improved by 2-10 seconds but meh, it's the first segment, I can always redo it!  Grin

And if you're saying I shouldn't do it yet, I really have ABSOLUTELY no idea how you could SB the first segment! >_>

Timing now...

edit: need to buy a timer >_<

The title screen time says 3 minutes, but that's not very accurate.
Everybody loves Hypnotoad!
What's in the first segment?  Although I do agree that it's unlikely to have any breaks...

With that kind of attitude you will never produce a quality run.

Ok then.

I'll easily redo it if it gets Sequence broke. In the first segment you run to epona, and do the goat herding. It then asks you if you want to save, I saved.

^_^ read edit.

Buy a stop watch, they work surprisingly good. How is the title screen not accurate? Quite a few runs here use the title screen timer, like DK64.

Yeah planned to do that. Lost mine Sad

The title screen isn't accurate because it doesn't show the seconds. Which is really needed if you are only 3 minutes in >_>. Technically it is accurate, but not precise.  Wink

EDIT: 9 minutes to get the slingshot.

forum lurker

Kick ass.
Speed is the key.
Pure ownage. Now it just needs to be tested on bosses.

heh, that is sweet, but notice how slow it is. No way it could hold down anything, though quickspins are way powerful, they aren't useful against bosses because well... you are either grabbing on and doing normal slashes, or bouncing off walls w/ spinner, or using new items and crap, etc... it will speed things up, but is it better than JS -> QS or JS -> JS -> QS?

It's nice that there are noticeable version differences though and there will be 2 categories.
Speed is the key.
I was thinking something like...

Jumpslash -> Quick Spin -> Quick Spin -> Quick Spin

I've seen that a spin attack can hit a boss up to 3 times, at least in the wii version.
Seventh hidden skill plus Great Fairy Potion plus infinite quickspin is something like a OHKO on bosses.  I still doubt that the GC version is faster though as you really will lose a ton of time in aiming, and the seventh hidden skill might not even be feasible(the potion might not be either, but that has the same level of awesome no matter what tricks you are using so long as they don't involve you taking hits).

Eh, I disagree.

My next "Reason why GCN is better" is aiming.  What you say?  Sorry, Wii lags.  I can take out those targets at the start of the game faster on GCN than on Wii.  You just need to adjust to the old-style aiming, and once you remember it, oh man, so much easier (to me, at least).

Also, the sword control...ah, so nice.

Plus, you can toggle the map off, and the d-pad up is the "item menu" while start is the quest-menu.

Dig is Y and Sense is X on Wolf...eh...it's just so nice.

I will admit, the "mirroring" threw me off as I was like "oh, wait...which way do I go" a few times...and the new button layout had me pusing wrong things a few times, but I have unlearned what I learned from Wii.
You should start confirming some of the bugs from the wii version.  I seriously doubt that I will be able to pick up a copy of this any time soon.  Hell, by the time I actually manage to buy the gcn version, it'll be at least 1.1 and all the cool bugs will be gone.    :-/

He's back!
My local gameshop is getting copies of the Gc version on Thursday night although they say they have no idea how many copies they'll have, so I guess its the old wait outside the store a good while before it opens on Friday morning.
Existence as you know it is over
I'm waiting until online stores are sufficiently supplied with wiis/TP to get one, to escape my parents' scrutiny.
I'm not THAT bad.
This game is like an RPG, that infinite quickspin is  SWEET!

Someone try 8 minutes to the slingshiot?

Zelda Rulez!
It really looks like you can duplication boomerangs in TP, like somebody said earlier Roll Eyes
Here is video of it:

Sombody should test this if TP have some basic item what it give to you if you do something. Like deku stick on B in OoT and Ocarina of time to B in MM Roll Eyes

Test this and tell us and I have three days left when I get my wii and TP Grin

EDIT: Here is another video of this glitch and this time he get something weird I don't want to watch it because I want avoid spoilers Tongue
I'm not THAT bad.
Maybe an item could be triggered by flicking your wrists via glitches? It happened in OoT  Grin

EDIT: We've broken the game. . . In a bad way.
carwa$H^
Rest assured, TP is coming to a gamestore near you.  I just picked mine up D:

What the heck is that black rupee?  Is it a beta item or something?  I wonder what happens if you try to use it...

You can turn it off on the Wii too. Press the "2" button.
The rupee was involved in the duplication of the boomerangs for the poster at the Nintendo board. I wonder if it can duplicate other things. That's actually why I posted the link. I don't have TP, but you guys could try it out.

Absolutely nothing.
