I just tried to clip through the Lake Hylia fences with that trick, not for too long, but long enough to tell that it looks like the same as in the video. Sad

Looks like my SS finally went up. Lemme know what you guys think.

I know it has some pretty ugly mistakes, but after having my best attempt ruined by a stupid recording error, I just wanted to get a run done so I could take a break from TP.

Here's hoping the torrent has a few seeds Jiano.
Looking forward to watching it ;).
I'm glad it's finally up. Downloading this right now, can't wait to watch it. Smiley

Speed is the key.
Nice new LJA spot in Goron Mines, Jiano.

surprise runs are very cool because of the surprise factor.

i'm going to watch the run later today.
Finished watching. Excellent run, Jiano, and congrats on the very memorable CitS miniboss fight. Smiley Also good job owning this guy:

sarcasm.

that was one of the two reasons i rejected this run. the other was Diababa. i was really torn when deciding whether or not to accept this. it actually came down to a coin flip.

if i could take back the rejection, i would. these are only two blemishes on an outstanding test of endurance. although i still think you could have reset on Diababa; it was early enough in the run to warrant a do over.
I said memorable, not excellent. Tongue

I normally would have reset, but like I said, my best run was ruined by a recording error so I was willing to accept more mistakes than normal. Also, everything up until I messed up the LJA before Diababa was beating or at least even with my best times, so I didn't think it would be too big of a deal.
It's time to use the HEALING TOUCH

That's got to be the most atrocious way of handling speedrun submissions at any site ever. I'm incredibly disappointed, not from a fanboy standpoint because I've never played nor watched much TP, but that:

1) you did a coin flip
2) you rejected a run that is significantly faster than the previous record, yet only flops in 2 boss fights. I'd consider two mistakes in 2 boss fights, in a 5 hour long run, where the rest of the run is, as Jiano puts it, very far ahead of how he often does, to be an incredible accomplishment.
3) I've seen plenty of speedruns where a mistake was made and a reset seemed necessary, but the runner kept going anyway.
4) "an outstanding test of endurance" in your own words. and you dismiss it because of two boss fights? Who died and made you a judge?

I'm not looking to start fights with SDA members, especially since I rarely come here, but that to me seems like a really dumb move on your part.

Nice job on your run Jiano, I've seen bits of it but not the whole thing. I will later and write my comments down. And you'll all be glad to hear that I finally finished CitS.

This is why I think it's better having the community vote on new submissions (a la TASvideos) instead of a select few staff members.

Now, if only all of the folks at TASvideos emphasized speed rather than aesthetics (at least for submissions with "aims for fastest time" as their primary goals), and stuck to games that they've played and are at least somewhat familiar with...

You're not going to have a perfect community guys. That's why it's a community. Every if has a but and every opinion has a disagreement.

Nice segment TP. And I LOVED the run Jiano. GREAT job being able to play 4.8 hours like that...

What are you talking about? It's called verifiers over here, and even though they are limited unlike TASvideos, they are still THE COMMUNITY.
