I didn't even notice the new banner until this thread, but I really don't like the non-Miktator banner for reasons that involve being terrified of the wrong kind of change...

I don't get the people that don't get the response to the banner-- no one was flying off the handle or overreacting or even saying it sucked, what's with all the "why all the negativity?" comments?
Anyway, I thought it looked OK, not all that good but OK, but now I've looked at it closely and... WTF is up with his legs?

I'm fine with the banner but that doesn't mean everyone who doesn't like it is invalid. This community does tend to overanalyze every little thing, but in this case especially if the banner is going to be used on the main site, the banner is something that represents us, our community, and what we're about. It's worth hearing everyone out on it.
