Meh, I vote "NO" for Alpaco. It doesn't resonate for people. Logos are definitely an important thing...
I vote no for Alpaco too because I still don't know wtf it is or why it should be representing us lol.

Who or what is Alpaco? 
The text in the banner is nice (Maybe a bit bright), but that guy... I don't know. I don't really like the expression on his face, unless SDA is in fact some evil/aggressive/sadistic competitive community (When I look at that guy he reminds me of players from multiplayer FPS's).

I like the new banner, myself. There's nothing wrong with the old one, but change keeps things fresh.

My feelings on The Demon Rush
Just FYI, we did show this banner to everyone else on staff and they really liked it. As much as some people like the old Quake guy we do need a new banner that doesn't look so dated and can actually be blown up without looking terrible.
We also wanted graphics and text we could apply elsewhere, like stream promotion.
Alpaco: No, it was going to be a one-time only thing for the marathon, and I learned my mistake. We should have something more representative of speed running if we have a mascot. The mascot also shouldn't be anything licensed just because of potential copyright and image issues.

It is my opinion that SDA no longer has any credibility because of this forum banner change. I can't be a part of this community any more. This was the last straw. THE LAST STRAW DAMMIT! Sorry guys, but I'm out.
