He's had posts about the history of SDA recently, where he talks about how he tried to fund the site and such. Very distributed, community oriented. Triumph of the Commons was fitting for it.

I don't really like the new banner because of the colour choice. The red and yellow look very aggressive for me against the dark background and the discreet blue of links. I probably would have preferred something more bluish to fit with the blue/black/grey. I do like the image of the kid in general though. Not all change is bad Wink

I would say, of course, that Alpaco would be a good mascot for the forums, but skinny gamer boy is pretty happy, too. If you turn him into a taco, I'll be behind him 100%.

Short of it becoming an official SDA mascot, I don't really support using Alpaco in site pictures. I'm apathetic to the "speedgamer guy" in the current picture, but it at least embodies what SDA is about (gaming, going fast, and awesome people). I don't think you can get that same effect from Alpaco.
