First run still isn't up? *Want to see already damnit*
two rows of links on main page pretty nifty
Updates are scarce lately, Mike and grenola must be busy.
THE GAME!!
Well....I hope it comes on soon.

Yeah, I haven't played Tombi! 2 for a few days, Super Mario Galaxy and school are taking up most of my time.

Same here (minus the SMG of course. *envy*'d)

But winter break is coming, 3 weeks in a row to speed run.
THE GAME!!
And as for me, I have Summer holidays down under so I get about 8 weeks to do so!! Smiley

I have... mock examinations... and no SMG!

... and also no memory card for my PS...

Laguna: I had to read your comment twice then, before taking in the fact that your seasons are backwards. It's about 3 degrees C in the UK at the moment, all day...

Yes the seasons are screwed up here. Some days, it might be raging with sun and somedays it may be annoying rain. That's NZ weather for ya!
THE GAME!!
Well, I just finished another practice run and here's what I got.

SEG1: 00:07:40
SEG2: 00:22:29
SEG3: 00:34:30
SEG4: 00:47:10
SEG5: 01:02:37
SEG6: 01:18:53
SEG7: 01:25:29
SEG8: 01:29:24
SEG9: 01:33:57
SEG10:01:43:10

For Segment 10, I timed from loading the file till the exact defeat time of the last pig. So the final time is about 1 hr 43 mins.

I wonder if i'm ready for recording...

Good luck, Laguna!
I really hope NTSC is different from PAL in Tomba!2...I don't know if I could beat you!

THE GAME!!
I'm doing yet another practice run. I've done the first 5 segments in the practice and so far i'm beating my old score by about a minute. Something tells me I might record this soon.

I also came up with a neat trick in the Water Temple. After you give the circular cog to the man and you then get the crystal claw, as long as you have more than one piece of health then you can just jump in the water and you'll lose a piece a health and return to the beginning of the Water Temple for the Crystal Artisan. Pretty sweet i'd say. And I believe this counts as Death Abuse so I guess SDA would accept it.
Yeah, I made some comments on this before. It seems fairly abusable at other points too.
THE GAME!!
Oh yup I see...forgot about it. Anyway, I will probably only use the Death Abuse once, i'm not sure where else it is needed.

Also, i've decided to wait till I get a Capture Card till I record Tombi! 2. When I record (with the DVD recorder) the game acts as though it's even slower and I do loads of mistakes during the recording. So I guess i'll just wait till I get a capture card. This was kinda the reason why I made my Klonoa run segmented. But now I guess I can make it Single Segment again!! Smiley

Now I have two projects to do. I guess i'll get Klonoa out of the way first and then i'll finish up with Tombi! 2. Just so I haven't confused you, Klonoa will be Single Segment while Tombi! 2 remains 10 segments. I will however keep practising both.

5 days till Christmas....Yay!! Smiley
Woot!

I'm playing through Tombi 2 again, hopefully to 137 it by Christmas. And I finally worked out what the pull rope--> snowball thing in Kujara Ranch is for!
THE GAME!!
It took me a while to get to 137. Reason? The Trolley!! God I hated that event I couldn't pass it! It was impossible!! I did eventually pass it though...but that was just from luck.

In my 100% run, both trolleys are 1 segment...I hope I will not explode.
You may explode. It seems difficult. I still don't understand a bunch of the events properly...
THE GAME!!
You're sticking the trolley events in the first segment!?  Shocked

There's probably a slim chance of you exploding...  Lips Sealed

MTGjumper: 2007-12-21 08:58:32 pm
Not first. One segment. Doing it in the first segment would be... difficult.

I'll be very interested in seeing the 100% Tombi 2 run, as it seems so much more difficult to complete every quest than the first game. Also, will you be 133-ing the game, or 137-ing it?

Edit: arghh! How do you dry the fish?
THE GAME!!
Oh, in one segment? Then that's a bit better.

I'm pretty sure you just leave the fish on the net at the Starting Beach for a while (can't remember how long) and then they will dry.

So what is the expected time for 100%. 2:30, 3 hours? More? Less?
two rows of links on main page pretty nifty
I'd like less than 3, but I won't probably get less than 3.5 hours.

You have to talk to Ark to 'learn how' then lower the net, use small fish, raise net, and leave. Return and collect your fish.
THE GAME!!
Shit...that's pretty fast. But mind you I took a long time with the Trolley Event so....that explains me being such a slowpoke with 100%. And i'm sorry to say that I'm not much of help when it comes to a 100% run. It's been a while since I beat both Tombi! games 100% and I can't remember much. *Sigh* I really wish I had the first Tombi!.....
Where the hell is the net!?

I can't remember: did you post a route for a 137 run?
THE GAME!!
You know where you saved that Golden Crab from the burning house at the start? Try there.

MTGjumper: 2007-12-22 02:51:39 pm
Yeah, only just it was a net. I thought it was some kind of... chainmail, or something.

I haven't actually tried the trolley event yet, due to the fact that people complain that it is so hard. Harder than the go-go karts from the first game?

Edit: I'd expect that game to at least give hints as to where all the magic plants where that you need to water. I'm anticipating that I need to water only one more. Anyone have a list of the locations?

100% run will be even more impressive now that I'm coming to appreciate some of the more tedious and difficult missions.
