It would make sense, as it would be much harder to get Gold in the go-go karts race if the timing remained the same. Unless the timing is only adjusted for that :-/
THE GAME!!
You could always test it out by running the first segment of an Any% and compare it to RJ's time and see how much slower it really is.
I was gonna do that and check the seconds for the Go-Go karts too.

Probably why you can do it 50% of the time, and I can't get gold with a decade of attempts :p
Right, if my playing ability is on the line, I'm gonna test it. :p

*angry eyes*

My Tombi disc, apparently, won't load. Normally, that would be a bad thing, but this is an even rarer copy, as described before Angry All running is halted: I had got up to seg 19 in a practice at 1:04. Also, the route doesn't list when best to get a lunch box, although the one in the mermaid's room seems a good enough option.

Anyway, anyone know of any good disc cleaning services?

Edit: I watched the run again whilst the internet was down, and timed the run at ~1:08 in real time :-/ I always used to comment how short the game was really, seeing as my first time through 100% was 9 hours long, which is more along the lines of 14 hours in real time. Much better.

Shocked

Hmm, I don't know of any in the UK unfortunately.
Apparently, I hear ScratchDoctor are good, after recommendation from a friend. He had a similar problem (a circle-shaped scratch of half the diameter of his PSX discs) after use on a slimline PS2.

Fingers crossed, ay?
THE GAME!!
I wish you the best of luck with your Tombi disc. I would really like to see a PAL run for it.

He was talking to a guest who just "asdfjbqwpeoibuqbvpd"-d into the keyboard as a post.

Yeah, I want to know what that guy was saying.

Segment 2 on Youtube:
THE GAME!!
Nicely done.
Quick question @ Waters (since I've already seen the seg <_<): do you prefer Tombi 2 over Tombi, because I seem to remember (regarding the Tombi 3 ISO *rolls eyes*) that when the poster said it was better than Tombi 2, you seemed annoyed...

I think the second is the better of the two, and I like it more. (two different things)
=D

I have a manner of recording now (I can just send video files over the t'internet to Nate, right?) and my disc should be being fixed on Monday, so I'll be able to finish my practice run for the 100% run, then hopefully upload some progress to YouTube of the real thing.

Would you prefer if I uploaded every seg, or just the first few, and leave the rest so as to not spoil all of the run?

(Also, Rob, if you have chance, do you wanna check if there is a lunch-box in the room where Yan hides in the Haunted Mansion, and to check when the best time to visit the Ol' Tree of Knowledge to complete "Tree of Knowledge Knows" is? It would be a huge favour if you could, even though you said you hadn't played Tombi for a while.)

You get a lunchbox when you complete "When the Wind Dies Down...".
I could find a place for that if it's not already in there.

In the route, that room is visited after first visiting Hidden Village, but (I think) before you go there a second time (courtesy of the leaf butterflies).

The segementation will likely be altered slightly. I could see my me splitting the Lava Caves up, merging it with other segments if necessary.

You mean hidden village?
Yes, you'll tailor it to your ability. I don't think over 25 segments would be needed.
Your run averaged at (41/15=) ~2.7 mins = ~2"42 per segment.

I expect mine will end up in the region of 2:05 PAL, 1:44 NTSC which, going by NTSC timing, would equate to ~4"10.

Trying to make life harder for me then? Tongue I'll just see how it goes.

Edit: I meant Hidden Village. Easy mistake: Yan's playing tricks all the time.

Keep in mind how much more of the 100% run is talking, 'mission-cleared' music, and flying...(yeah, just making things harder on you :p)
Tombi disc back, scratch-free and clean. Just waiting on the splitter cable, and then I'm good to go.

Also, I notice you're gonna do that Sly 2 run. I was under the impression Tri.hex had already done one, but he hasn't... (hint: do 100% Wink )

Alright! Have you got a revised route ready?

(yeah it's 100%)
