http://v.speeddemosarchive.com/rsv2/

Please refer to the Verification Guidelines before posting. Verifications are due by Sept. 5, 2014.

Please post your opinions about the run and be certain to conclude your post with a verdict (Accept/Reject). This is not a contest where the majority wins - I will judge each verification on its content. Please keep your verification brief unless you have a good reason otherwise.

After 2 weeks I will read all of the verifications and move this thread to the main verification board and post my verdict.
just for the info I uploaded an updated run comments approximately 4 hours ago, I'm not sure how long will it take to get updated. apologies for the comments being updated recently,I assumed it would take longer for the run to end up in here. The run comments is very detailed to help explain almost everything about R6V2 since the game is not well know on SDA forum.

They should be updated now, I actually had a bunch of those that I forgot I needed to keep an eye on.
Borderlands 2 Glitch Hunter/ router.
For clarification this game is VERY UNFORGIVING.

Pyrenees: Overall good mission, In the PC version I would cut directly across the outside section after the terrorist negotiations scene, however, console lacks maneuverability and clearing the second portion of this section is safer from inside the building and you also run the risk of being randomly shot and killed.  (Literally RANDOMLY)

Old Vegas: Again good mission, there are a few slow downs caused by having to wait for the rainbow team to catch up and do various breach and clear strategies. Parking lot and building site are taken cautiously for good reason there are a few points where both snipers and regular terrorists spawn  and upon seeing you will INSTANTLY shoot you for 0 armor it's instant kill for max armor it might be 2 shots but either way it sucks so sending your team in first to draw fire is a nice way to avoid this.

The Sweat shops again are taken cautiously you can be randomly shot in the back if you're not careful. all in all good section.

Rec Center: ...I hate this level from my own experience... every part of it has something which can randomly kill you .. shotgunners at the start... the corner of death (2:10 - 2:16) [which actually seems to have 1 less Terrorist on the console version :/ ]. The climbing walls are a notorious run ender for me, Crossing the street to the "Baker arena" can get you one shot if the sniper is being a douche, the entire room @ 11:25 hates everyone and everything past 14:40.

Theres a few small mistakes but nothing worth crying over TBH its amazing to get through this mission without dying.

Convention: This mission can be hell and caution is generally required to even get through it lots of twists and turns and a plethora of obstacles to navigate making a sure fire "best route" difficult to place and the fact that Terrorists can use nearly EVERYTHING to be a douche. The first section is very clutch due to both Jung and Michael being downed I was sure that Michael would die before reaching the checkpoint. [Could be that console is more lenient on bleeding out also]

Other sections look good trade off between speed and reassuring survival mostly needed, Monorail had a small section on the stair where AI derped and prevented things going smoothly but that can't be helped.

Theater:all in all good, the casino parts of this mission once again make a hell of of routing because of the randomness of the Terrorists caution required!.

Nevada Desert:For anyone who played Rainbow six 3: Raven Shield you may recognize parts of this mission as it is a copy and paste mash up of the Refinery map, not identical but close, good routing and nice use of special grenades to help with progress.

Estate: good Tongue some slow down due to randomness of spawning at certain points, helicopter fight went well, two shots POW POW...

A/V: Good
Timing: accurate if including loading screens.
Cheating: None

ACCEPT

Wake up and be awesome
Will have comments soon. Just wanted to point out that if the times for each level are correct, then the final time is about 1:48:18 (Or something like that).

Also, thanks for the shoutout in the commentary Soliduz (even though all I did was reject your old run and said your weapon layout looks fine happy )

Pyrenees:
Simple level by the looks of it. Not much to say here

Convention:
Not only is this the longest level in the game, but it's also the hardest, at least in my opinion. Overall nice use of flashbangs and grenades. The beginning part of this mission was fantastic, but monorail is where things start to kind of fall apart. The beginning part was good, the entire section before disarming the bomb was a mess. Granted, part of this could be attributed to the UTTER USELESSNESS of the AI, but unfortunately can't sugar coat this part. Still, like I mentioned before, this mission is an absolute pain (much like the rest of the game), so a rather iffy ending can't take away from a good run.

Estate:
Pretty damn good if i do say so myself. The amount of times you should have died from shotgunners is amazing. If someone can figure out a glitch for keeping you gun after the helicopter goes down, you might be able to use it to kill the guy without having to listen to his speech

Okay finished.

Pro strats through and through. Very nice use of grenade-age in all shapes and forms.

A/V good enough (watched LQ) but there's a bit of repeated audio over the ending statIDs

Gameplay is by and large very good.  This series is not meant to be played nearly as aggressively as it is here, and it seems about as fast as could be expected in this run (though I suppose it's worth mentioning that I haven't played any R6 games since the first couple in the series).  Outright mistakes are rare and don't cost much time and the approaches to certain areas seem sound.  I'm sure it could be faster, but this is definitely a good run.

For now, just wait. We'll let you know if we run into any issues.
Borderlands 2 Glitch Hunter/ router.
and speedrun vegas 1 also Tongue
Has the first Rainbow Six been run? Why can't I find such runs anywhere? I almost feel like I've watched them though...
Borderlands 2 Glitch Hunter/ router.
far as I'm aware the only completed runs are of Raven shield (#3) and as of now Vegas 2...
I would give R61 a try but I dont own a copy. I might get it if its on PSN. I would give hints for anyone who has it and is willing to give it a go.
Soliduz: Do you run a PC at all? It's on GOG R6 1 that is.
I don't run on PC. I have a laptop so I don't think I will unfortunately.

Unless your laptop is 20 years old it should be able to run R61, considering that game came out when software rendering was still a thing.
Confirmed what UA said. I'll buy you the game if that'll encourage you Cheesy

I meant to say Rainbow Six Vegas 1 not the first Rainbow Six. My bad. I never played the older Rainbow Six games. :S so will you still buy me R6V1 Lotblind :P. I will give it a try and see if the same tactics works or not.
If I buy it for you will you run it? Smiley I don't see why you couldn't speedrun it. It's a bit different because you're commanding up to three independent groups of soldiers at once. I suppose it mostly involves being as risky as possible while not losing everyone... I don't know if the soldiers keep their xp or something or whether they're completely expendable. I also can't remember if there's a mission by mission option for ILs but I suspect there must be once you've unlocked them. <--- talking about Ghost Recon there actually.

Anyway, yeah I can buy it for you if you're at least gonna look into running it.

EDIT: I just realized it's Ghost Recon, not Rainbow Six 1 that I was playing at one time... I'm indifferent to which one anyone runs, maybe someone will do the other one later... and they cost the same so yeah... whichever.
I'm really not up for speed running older or earlier R6 games anytime soon. like I said R6V1 I will eventually attempt to speed run in IL of course. thanks anyway LotBlind. Cheesy
Your loss!

Good luck with Vegas 1 Smiley
