Titan Souls finally released today! Only thread on this game is in Casual Runs so I thought I'd start one here.

If you haven't heard of the game its a boss rush where a lot of the bosses can be killed in under 10 seconds. One hit death.

I found a couple of quick-kills already.

It seems like you only need to kill 7 of the 10 titans after the introduction area to complete the game. The main door has 8 lights, one is automatically active, every boss kill activates another one. On my first playthrough I skipped the forest bosses and killed everything else. But those two are two of the easiest, so let's not.

So far I've found reliable quick-kills for the dice, the fist golem, the mushroom, the plant, and the mimic, and semi-reliable ones for the knight,  the yeti, the boulder, and the ice golem. That's 7 out of 10 of the later ones, skipping the fire slime, the sea serpent, and the spiked golem.

That leaves the slime, the ice cube, the laser golem, and the soul as bosses that need strategizing for me. I actually don't know how I managed to kill the soul, it just kinda happened o.o

(It doesn't help that I don't have a controller and am relegated to 8-directional aiming :C)
There is an achievement for winning the game in 20 mins so I expect we should be able to get it much lower. Cheesy
Ruling the cosmos!
Yo, hit me up in a week when I actually have time to play the game, I might join y'all in the running.

(ugh though can I complain about how I pre-ordered this game and I'm not gonna have any time to play it for week? Uuuuuuugh)
INTJ
A pretty simple quick kill I discovered on my casual playthrough:

I'll probably play through hardmode today when I get home and then try to figure out various strategies for bosses ^^
The cake is a lie
If the speedrun requires to kill TRUTH, I already have strats for the first and second phases :

http://www.twitch.tv/gyoo_/c/6544630

The way I do these is very consistent, I have no clue how I beat the 3rd phase though, it was pure luck x)
Any% runs should end upon killing the Soul. But no doubt All Bosses will be a popular run as well.
INTJ
The third phase of Truth is actually fairly simple, I got it first try I ever got there:
1) Shoot the bottom left and upper right teeth thing, so you won't have to move
2) Shoot the eye as soon as it opens for the laser

I really like the strategy for the first phase ^^

Huh, I actually missed a couple bosses.

Mask titan has an easy 100% quick-kill. Truth titan takes a lot of walking, may not be worth it. (Truth titan being the guy who only talks to you as you climb up him.)

I guess an argument could be made that TRUTH denotes the actual end of the game, even though defeating Soul also triggers credits. I guess the only real way to tell is to go by which boss triggers the 20 minute speedrun achievement. I don't have the Steam version so I have no idea which one that would be.

INTJ
I'm pretty sure that the Truth titan is way too far out of the way to even consider. The other one I would consider skipping are the bosses in the ice place. The snake requires the door to open which is a bit awkward, but I'm not sure that warrants skipping it. The titan where you have to smash the teeth - I have not figured out a quick way to kill it.

I'll probably try get the speedrun achievement by tomorrow, then I can tell where it triggers. Since I have to work however, someone else might be quicker to get that, as I still need to figure out some solid/consistnet strategies for some bosses and also want to maybe play through hardmode first.

Edit: Oh, also - I think this might be one of the few games I'll have to use a controller to properly compete, since keyboard only offers 8 directions. On the other hand, being locked into 8 directions might make it easier to get consistent in certain strategies.
Just a quick question for when we get runs going, would we stop the timer on the final hit of the final boss, when the soul is collects, or some other point?
The route I'm visualizing goes intro>mushroom+plant>mask(+truth?)>mimic+knight>ice golem(+yeti?)

Going through the volcano for just one boss that isn't 100% consistent is pointless. There's a path up from left of the knight's castle, to left of the entrance, which leads straight into the snowy mountain. The ice golem is easy, the yeti is probably consistent to one-cycle but it may prove more difficult, I can't tell.
INTJ
I think all 3 bosses in the volcano are actually relatively easy. I'm not sure how to quickly kill the rotating skull on the right, but the other two seem rather simple to me
I had major issues on the fire slime, I have no idea how to speedily get rid of her. If you can get quick and easy 1-cycles on two of the volcano bosses, then it's probably faster to do those than to hike all the way to the mountain.

I found that completely randomly, it looks like a glitch though, so it might be fixed, who knows.
A quick question, quiting to menu after beating a boss is valid? That would make any% very fast, you can tutorial+forest (without triggering the checkpoint) quit to the elevator checkpoint + ruins (knight and mimic) + snow (yeti, lazerface, watersnake) and quit back or lava (i hate the lava bosses).
Yeah, saving and quitting is valid. Which kinda requires RTA timing alongside IGT, though I wouldn't just discount the usefulness of IGT in this case.
Got a few bosses quickly some can be done faster;
Gol'Hevel:

EyeCube:

BrainFreeze:

Yeti:

Stratus:

Obello:

Vinethesis:

Avarice (sorry for low fps Sad ):

I can't beat the lava ones and the water snake quickly, yet. Any strats for those and the knight?

For the mask, or Gol'Hevel, you can throw the arrow to the right of him, stand along the left wall, and just drag it back and he dies automatically. May not be much faster, but it's impossible to screw up.

For the knight, you just want him to throw his arrow as vertical as possible. Once it bounces back up to you, you can shoot it before he gets off his first normal arrow, then you hit him and he's dead.

The volcano boulder titan is basically the same concept as the yeti.

You can actually do vinethesis a bit faster than that.
Nice! I knew that i could be done faster, thanks man.
Can get the boulder boss, when do i shoot him? When he jumps at the start? Or after he hit the wall?
Which one's the boulder boss again?
After he hits the wall.

The rolling boss which leaves a trail of fire, i don't know his name.
How about a quick kill for the final boss...that guy is mean.
