SGDQ 2016 was the first event I attended in person. It was a blast, and I'm hoping to go again next year! Throughout the week there were a few items I wish I'd brought. Some of these are so obvious now, but being a n00b, didn't think of it when packing. Feel free to add to the list!

1) A cable to attach my laptop to the hotel room TV to watch the stream when I wasn't actually in the stream room. Laptop was fine, but TV would've been better.
2) My DS. Playing games on my phone ate the battery quick (looking at you, Pokemon Go)
3) Some freaking games to play in the casual room!! World9 had pretty much any equipment we could've wanted and I'm kicking myself for not bringing something to play.
4) A giant 1000+ piece puzzle to leave in the tabletop room for people to work on as they come and go. We did this on a cruise and met some really cool people this way.
Thread title:
That puzzle is actually a cool idea!
Stay chill, be cool.
I second bringing some games to play in the casual / practice room.  Some of the most fun I've had was people watching me play whatever I brought into either room and some of them even helping me out finish these games in one sitting!

And yes bring some HDMI cables to hook up to the TVs.

We actually did have puzzles at SGDQ - we did one better, in fact.

We got 2 identical puzzles, 2 teams, and raced completing them =)

That's sick. Way to make puzzles intense lol.
I Wish I could fit my air hockey table in my suitcase and bring it.
