Cragscleft - 6m 29s - Rogston
Bonehoard - 6m 11s - Rogston
Assassins - 6m 43s - Rogston (I open the video as soon as it's processed to HD)

Also there is a new list in the first post, which I will update more frequently.
Update, please note that these are work in progress videos unless I say otherwise:

Undercover - 3m 50s - Rogston
Return to the Cathedral - 34s - Rogston

After the maw it is just improving and finding new glitches Smiley
Edit history:
Rogston: 2009-12-22 11:37:30 pm
Update:
The maw of chaos - 7m 24s - Rogston

Also now the first part of the expert run is complete and here are my thoughts. Next up is improving these runs.
1. ok
2. must be redone (cutty scene and before that the switch took too long)
3. ok
4. should be redone (escaping part is sloppy)
5. ok
6. should be redone (over 3s lost because of mistakes)
7. must be redone (no good version out of it yet)
8. ok but should be redone (about 2s lost attempting to gas the priest)
9. ok but might be improved (easy to run, 33s and even 32s might be possible)
10. ok
11. ok
12. ok

Already I'm quiet happy with the run since it is under hour where as the normal "failed" to break the half-hour.

edit: Also that the old expert run was 5:31:22 by telliamed. So I was just 4:34:14 faster  Wink
New thief glitch and some theory:

(thanks to Sxerks and lost_soul for discovering this tactic)
Blockjacking is very odd thing, seems like the material causes the knockout. This also could explain why bumping into a sword, wielded by foe, would cause bit damage as well. The addition to the damage is caused by the physics of this game, like if you bunnyhop too fast to a wall you get hurt. So therefore a overhead swing with a sword would cause more damage than a horizontal swing because it has more physical impact to it. This though requires that the engine has to manipulate the models so that they genuinely swing object which has damaging surface. Unlike typical game engines where a engine just counts the path of the damage.

As you can see from the video, assassin normal and expert will have major improvements. Bringing the normal run closer to sub half-hour Smiley
unemployed Dragon
This nice glitch would be a hefty impact on time, when speedrunning assasins.
Update:
Normal difficulty:
Assassins - 1m 59s - Rogston
Normal IL speedrun improved: 2m 27s

Expert difficulty:
The lord bafford's manor - 1m 20s - Rogston
Break from Cragscleft Prison - 6m 9s - Rogston
Down into the Bonehoard - 5m 48s - Rogston
Assassins - 3m 58s - Rogston
The Sword - 4m 9s - Rogston
The Haunted Cathedral - 6m 10s - Rogston
Lost City - 9m 56s - Rogston
Expert IL speedrun improved: 5m 27s

Expert IL speedrun will not be submitted to SDA mainly because my hard drive broke down february 2010 and I lost all my footage. That means that I don't have original videos for maps 8,9,10,11 and 12, only youtube versions exist. Additionally the quality of these speedruns aren't at the level that I wish them to be for SDA.

I've been very busy lately and it has been more and more difficult find time to speedrun thief properly. Especially speedrunning on expert difficulty requires more time than I have available. For now I consider thief speedruns done and I'm unsure if I will continue improving them in the future. Anyway I've had a lot of fun doing these runs and I want to thank everyone for your support!
I wonder if anyone of you is still interested in seeing how the run of this game has developed. 2018 has been wild for this game.
