...cause I'm sorta like that, too.

For example I like programming, and I have a lot of cool project ideas, but ....

Yeah, I've officially only completed ONE PROJECT IN LIKE 10 YEARS, and that's a Qbasic game in 2006.

So anyway, I look forward to the pictures <_<

Maybe we should order these stickers so that you can wear them during the marathon:

OMG, beause I haven't uploaded the photos yet? Tongue

I'm gonna do it. Whenever I'm home and not feeling super lazy becasue I just got off work (which seems to be the only time I get the chance to check up on my blogs/regular sites/SDA).

hmmmmmm....

Kept my word. Here's the link to my Photobucket Album featuring ALL of my photos from the 2010 Marathon. Here's a couple I'd like to share that I consider my favorites:

IMO, this image is my favorite because it's the SDA Marathon that almost was. There's so much uncertainty going on in everyone's faces throughout the initial troubleshooting setting everything up. It's so loud and crowded at MAGFest.
It doesn't seem suiting at all for a genuinely well speedrunning environment. The unsuccessfulness could be considered a blessing in disguise. Also, a glimpse at Essentia: Pregnant Edition. Tongue

Nate was working so hard throughout the entire ordeal. I find he deserves his own spot in my favorite photos. Smiley

The leaked videos from my alternative YouTube Channel don't do Uyama's basement justice for how tangled all those wires were for the marathon TV. I feel sorry for Mike for having to clean that up after everyone left (that's assuming he actually bothered to, :P)

Another amazing photo because it's value grew with time once all the context was created. Breakdown broke through as an all star announcer and commentator. Freddy is busy practicing away on the secondary TV in the background. While Mike and Nate work away on finalizing the streaming from Nate's MacBook Pro.

Also, I don't think I ever formally shared the album from the SDA Marathon 2009, which contains ~150 photos, but here ya go. Sorry about taking almost two years to share that. I know I suck ... a lot. Another tease:

Me showing off the Gamecube sign I bought from a seller for $75 (still don't regret that)!
We all scream for Eyes Cream

I only got one thing for this.

Just in time for the 2011 marathon!
i like that pic showing me and the laptop for two reasons ... one is that you can clearly see the two ustream windows and two fme windows on the laptop screen. the second is that i'm still wearing my magfest armband.

I figured you'd like it because you're wearing a shirt with a cool web address on it.

Ha! I'm glad you're enjoying the photos. I plan to take an assload more this year since (I probably shouldn't share this outloud so prematurely, but whatever) IMO, this will be the marathon that peaks in terms of sheer quality.

Awkward choice of time to do this, but I wanted to say I was blown away by your Dr. Mario play at the 2010 Marathon. I never got a chance to ever say hi or anything because it seemed you were always surrounded by everyone else's affection, but I'm a huge closet fan -- long time observer of your SDA activity, just never bumped your threads or gave you acknowledgment (oxymoron much?). I've always admired your dedication and records at the site, plus not really embracing the girl gamer self-awareness thing I've encountered at other forums (Don't read into that as implications of any kind; I love your current attitude about everything you do). In fact, after seeing your Dr. Mario (NES) speedrun live (I was upstairs at the time, Uyama's basement was far too overcrowded), I made it a personal priority to watch the FF6 'run. Unfortunately, by then, I was so exhausted from staying up for ~24 hours straight I passed out for quite a while when you were only an hour in or so.

I don't plan to miss anything you do this year. Can't wait to see you then! Smiley
