We all scream for Eyes Cream

I wonder, would one for this be possible even though its an On-Rails shooter? Time would be important when killing enemies and bosses. I can probably do it, but I have trouble with killing Judgment(Sometimes, now I know you can damage the suit of armor), Strength(I swear his head never wants to get hit) and Emperor when he starts using the boss attacks.

Now which would be better, Original Game, or Arcade Game? Original would be faster(Choose the submachine gun) but the Arcade one would be somewhat more "out of the box."

What is more fun for you?

I'd guess, that this would result in 2 different runs because you cant get the sub in arcade mode.

I saw this game now and then, but never got to play it. Sure would watch the run.

Speed is everything!

A run of House of the Dead 2 would be nice. I remember there was already a boss run or so but I can't find it anymore.

I don't mind doing it, but I'll need two things.

1: Full screen recording program
2: Fastest route.

Also, continues. Allowed or not allowed? I doubt I can get through the Arcade game without them, Original is possible with the right items. While I'm at it, I should see if I can find one with the English language as mine is in Japanese(Well most of the text is, like the stuff in Original).

the faq has something in it about deaths ingame i believe. i think its allowed but it'll say "with death abuse" or something similar. it's not recommended though since it'll look a LOT better if you make it in one go. id say keep playing till you can do it, thats how speedruns are made most of the time. good luck!

Why would you want to use continues anyway? HOD2 is one of the easiest games ever, literally.

Can't remember my login stuff so I have to be a guest, for now.

I thought about using continues as I would shoot some civilians to take faster paths and not have to wait for a zombie to kill them for me.

Also, like I said, I have trouble at times with Strength. Only time I was able to beat him without taking a hit was when I used the Machine Gun, but I still had trouble. Magician is somewhat easy. I'll aim for his left leg as it would deal more damage than the right ankle, and his left shoulder is hard to hit sometimes.

I can easily shoot and reload at the same time, but I still need to work on it a little.

Well class is starting so I shall go, for now. I'll work on test runs in my spare time.

I need help for those who have experience with FRAPS. I tried to record a little as a test and the game lagged. I thought maybe I should lower the screen resolution so I did. I was able to rid most of the lag but there was till some lag. Any tips on settings and stuff?

HOLY CRAP!!! I AM SUCH AN IDIOT!!!

Right now I'm saying no to the machine gun

and yes to the GRENADE LAUNCHER!!! I just replayed it to get the Machine Gun and while going through I got the Grenade Launcher(And found 2 hidden civilians). I just decided to test it, and it kills every enemy in 1 hit, and Judgment lost over half its health with 1 shot. I had a problem getting in the second shot though, but eventually he fell. Then one more shot and he was dead. This will be
the chosen weapon in the Original Game run.

When I went through it I used the Shotgun, and my time was about 20 minutes. I did have a few problems though because the shotgun sucks and kills civilians so I lose life and I took a few bad hits, so I used about 3 continues. Definitely why I hate using the Shotgun in that game. -_-

Have you defragmented your drives\partitions? That can make a huge difference. Otherwise lower settings in the game, experiment a bit Smiley

Fraps has its own life. Could only be me, but i have to set the fps for recording on 40 at least. They drop down to 20 - 25 ingame, the record again is on 40 fps.

And don't think that you can get "normal" speed by recording with something that takes up like 100 MB/minute ^^

It's not about your settings, it's about fraps - it limits your fps to 30 (60 in some cases). And I don't think that original mode runs will get accepted before any classic mode runs. Play default.

BTW, if Fraps is too hard on your computer, try Game Cam Lite(they have a demo version, so you can try without buying). It has less quality than Fraps though, and the main menu doesn't show when I use it.

Thanks Drak, but I do have a few problems with it.

1: I can't enable sound even if I press the Audio button for the recording.

2: The game cam and remote show up in the video. Not sure if it would cause problems or not with being accepted(Doubt it).

One option, if you have the warez, is to TV-out to another PC or a DVD recorder.

Yeah, in the demo version, sound is disabled and they place a watermark on the video.

I never experienced the remote showing though.
