The boss is called Quell, they show his name in the official Evil Within art book. Also yeah that's exactly how I deal with him in runs. Shock bolt + unload magnum.

Also I found a new glitch last night in chapter 14, it's close to out of bounds but not quite, maybe still possible. Still very cool and funny. Will upload it soon and repost.

More great finds Magnum.

That glitch is like what happened to me on Chapter 3. Using an explosion to boost into a trigger. This needs to be tested everywhere but so far I haven't had any luck with skipping anything.

I've been trying this is random places with the rocket launcher. For example in the final chapter where you follow Leslie, there's a part where the hallway starts to crumble and Sebastian turns around surprised. When I blasted myself into that trigger, he fell then instantly stood up for that part. The game forced him too.

This blast damage creates invincibility to other damage in most cases like the chapter 3 instant kill trap. Another interesting point is the fire walls in the Laura boss fight. If you touch them you get burnt of course and go into that burning animation but if you blast yourself at them you don't take any fire damage.

I was trying to blast myself through them but found they act like solid walls.

Tried in the sacrifice room too to see if I could blast through the spike tunnel but get killed instantly.
Other places like the very start where you first get the gun, if you blast into that trigger he just gets up and walks over.

I'm trying to remember if there are any more places with instant kill traps that could be blasted through?

Only other strange thing I've found is in the final chapter where you fight a large group in that bloody dimension, and the chainsaw guy with a rocker launcher shows up. There's a spike wall blocking the door to the next area. If you go to the far left, you can see the spike wall doesn't cover that part completely and you can actually climb up and stand beside the spike but need to keep running or you'll fall.

Tried blasting myself through with no result and got sick of it but could be something here.

Yeah I've been testing the same stuff myself Zero, blasting myself past or into triggers with different timing. I definitely think some part of the game will have a skip. I'm glad others like you are looking as well, I love finding this shit man. You should add me on Skype or something to keep me up to date on what you find, and same with me for you. I can't wait until the first useful skip is found.

I was just messing around in chapter 14. Tried to blast myself through the electricity barriers but it's just like the fire and treats them as a wall.

I got to try the Quell skip though. That was cool. Used an explosive bolt on him.

For the part where he grabs you at the elevator crank, I planted explosive bolts here but they don't go off when he appears. I guess he isn't really 'in the game' at this point so they don't register a nearby enemy.

I know this was probably just assumed to work but doesn't help to verify. Smiley

If you get over that fence in 11 you can proceed as normal. In fact, the game has very slack checks as long as you hit loading triggers. You can basically go straight to the Kidman being attacked area without any real problem. Also for that garage door with all the enemies that keeps closing, it could be skippable. The checkpoint is there even before you trigger the enemy spawns.

speaking of the rocket launcher, has anyone ever gotten extra ammo for it? I used up my 20 rockets and now the rocket launcher is lonely. Even finishing the game again doesn't give ammo back

AND I noticed that the MAX is 30, and you start with 20? I've heard of people finding ammo for the machine gun, but rockets?

Very nice! You still should have streamed. I thought I wouldn't get viewers and ended up getting 350. Very nice run.

Also quinntendopower I was wondering that too. I REALLY want to use one file for ng+ speedrunning because it has EVERYTHING upgraded with green gel which took forever and good ammo, but I wasted all the rockets getting trophies so Sad

Just finished a run, and was 3minutes slower than my PB.I streamed it on twitch and had 30 people watching me through the run.BTW guys, I got the infinite stamina glitch at the start of chapter 4 as we'll.Its a shame because I wasn't recording because of ps4 twitch doesn't let you save your broadcasts.I need someone who can record me through the runs.Someone please?

I don't know if you got my message on chat when you tried but you can't do that auto archive setting on PS4. Here's some visual steps for how to archive broadcasts using a PC.

1: Log into your Twitch account on a browser.
2: Click the spanner at the right hand side of your name: http://puu.sh/cBhfb/da1eca15d2.png
3: Go to the Channel and Videos tab
4: Click automatically archive broadcasts: http://puu.sh/cBhhZ/7c07e62a09.png then scroll down and click the Save Changes button.

The next time you stream, Twitch should now archive your broadcasts and they will be under Video Manager > Past Broadcasts. From there you can make a highlight of the run to save it forever.

Let me know if you need any help.

These are a bunch of useful tips on how to get a sub 3 hour run based on casual NG+
Chapter 2
When the game teaches you How to stealth kill,you can bolt straight to the door and kick it open before the enemy gets there.During the horde part at the end of the chapter, you can just run right through the middle of them.They will stand up,look at you then sit back down.
Chapter 3
As soon as the cutscenes with Jimenez ends, run up to the lever and shoot/smash it.Straight away start turning the crank and run down stairs to the open area, if you are fast enough, you can actually stand in front of Jimenez while the cutscene starts of him luring the enemies away.You can run straight to the gat and press the action button, then immediately run to the sadist and kill him
Chapter 4
If you have the brass knuckles you can keep meleeing forward towards the house and get through the door before Leslie actually runs through there.During the second encounter with Laura, just before the burning bodies fight,you can immediately run out of there to the oil patch and light it straight away.By the time Laura gets burned, the fire should of extinguished its self and you Can run inside its body and through the gate quickly
Chapter 5
The one with the invisible enemies, the only 1 you need to kill is the first one to proceed through the door.The other 2 don't need to be punched.

I will keep adding to this list with more tips in time...

Question speedrunningTEW, what console do you play on/did you get infinite sprint glitch on? The first infinite sprint glitch video was on Xbox One it looked like, so if you're on Xbox One as well... sadly looks like it may be Xbone only.

I was using ps4.Maybe it is next gen console only? At least it's not just one console at least

By the way SpeedrunningTEW you do know that PS4 is always recording your gameplay right? If you have anything cool or crazy happen, you just press the share button, then square to save video clip of your last 15 minutes of gameplay. Then you could have trimmed it and uploaded to Youtube, sadly too late now. Remember that though, PS4 is ALWAYS recording your gameplay, something happens, hit share button and save dat shit with square.
