I might have understood if you tried to go all classic Beatles, The Who, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Genesis, King Crimson, maybe even Queen, Jethro Tull, Black Sabbath, Def Leopard, Duran Duran, Radiohead, Coldplay..
Okay, I don't particularly like rap but I'll give it a go.
EDIT: Oh, THANKS Radix. I'm playing through Circle of the Moon at the moment. I just went onto the run page out of curiosity and was greeted by a nice screenshot of the final boss. Excellent.
Well since someone bumped this, I guess I could say that I think King Crimson is the most underrated rock band ever, at least in terms of influence. Their newer stuff is not quite as good, although I do like songs like Happy With What You Have To Be Happy With.
And I still wonder what Quijo thought about Deltron. Maybe not much, if he didn't tell me about it. If you're coming from Gorillaz, you probably have to be one of the people who liked the first album better than Demon Days.
Edit for below: I am going to PM you instead of replying, to let this thread die out again. Edit for 2 posts below: Didn't work, heh.
Yep, I prefer the first album. Demon Days just seemed a bit mainstream. The change in style was all good, I like Demon Days, but there's just something about the first album I find more appealing. I haven't been able to track down any Deltron yet, sadly. Unless they've changed their minds since I last ordered from them, Amazon.com will no longer ship items overseas.
Demon Days has some good tracks, but unfortunately not that much. But it's still better than the first one. Though, I'm not a fan of Gorillaz. Or any music that has something to do with computer-drums.. Yach!
