I got denied for Teslagrad. It's all on you, Arturrian.
e: Damn. Well, I'm still going.
OK Everybody, here it is. Introducing TeslaSplit - an automatic LiveSplit splitting program for Teslagrad.
Program, Instructions, System Requirements, and Source Code are included in the attached zip file.

Hey, BoursinBurger, your programme is AWESOME, I'm testing it right now, they are some things i don't understand but anyway congrats.

  - Do you have a config file for any% ?
  - When I fill the SplitHotkey value with "XBUTTON1" (witch i guess is the B button of the xbox controller) it doesn't split. But it work well with NUMPAD1, NUMPAD2, ect...
  - I don't understand how you automacally split at the End of the run, maybe it is only possible in 100% because of the "gamecomplete: 1" flag witch doesn't trigger in any%. I can split manually when the character throw the crown, so it's not a big problem for me.
- When I fill the first SplitList value with "openBarriers : 0" to split at the end of the first cutscene, it doesn't work, but i found that "openBarriers : 262144" is working for me the same way it should with "openBarriers : 0". Weird stuff...

Anyway, Thanks for this great program, much apreciated.

Edit : I found that "XBUTTON1" is a mouse button and not the xbox B button, so it's normal that it didn't work, my bad. So for now i'm using JoyToKey to rebind my B button on the Numpad1. Otherwise, I'm actually writing a config file for any% (witch is comming with a dedicated Livesplit file), I'll probably post both tomorrow.

I have attached the splits Arturrian is currently using, both TeslaSplit config and LiveSplit LSS. You can either copy the SplitList out of these configs or rename the config file to remove the "ScrollBlah%" part of the name.
These have checkpoints for entering the Courtyard, killing each boss, and collecting each scroll. He then splits manually for killing the King and reaching the Ende.
The scroll collections are based on this route: https://docs.google.com/document/d/13bE__7dYECG8WWok1EQ1Vso51EtKdkTQshzFQSueeOo/edit
For Any%, this still takes scrolls 17, 5, and 8, and ignores Jack's Fast Scroll 20.
If scrolls are taken in a different order, then the "CollectScroll" events in the config need to be adjusted.

The DLL I use for sending buttons to LiveSplit is programmed only for keyboard and mouse buttons, not gamepad.

Upon reaching the Ende, I had to press Enter to return to the main menu to make it write to the save file. When I did that, it wrote the following events (This was at the end of a 100% run):
defeatedBosses: 0
  openBarriers: 0
  orbsFound:
  gameComplete: 1
So try any of these to see if the same thing happens at the end of an Any% run.

I am very happy to hear that the program is working well for you.

Using TeslaSplit with LiveSplit, I came up with much more accurate timings for scrolls 17, 5, and 8 in order to determine which one to skip in favor of Jack's Fast Scroll 20 (which means we all must develop perfect technique! Grin )
With each of these times I did about 20 attempts and took the lowest time.

17 - Time starts on sceneIndex: 10 and stops on sceneIndex: 11
CollectScroll and energize: 16.64
Don't CollectScroll, but energize: 8.47
Difference: 8.17

5 - Time starts on sceneIndex: 21 and stops on sceneIndex: 20
CollectScroll: 14.07
Don't CollectScroll: 6.90
Difference: 7.17

8 - Time starts on sceneIndex: 21 and stops on collecting Scroll 9
Collect scrolls 8 and 9: 27.56
Collect only scroll 9: 21.57
Difference: 5.99

For scroll 17 I included the need to go back, spawn the spider, and energize on it in order to do the Piston skip in the next room.
Nevertheless, it appears that Scroll 17 is still the slowest of the three.

Thanks for your answer, I finished my config file for any%.

Otherwise, I also did some testing with the scroll 19 witch seems faster than scroll 17, 5 AND 8.

19 - Time starts manually (there's no good checkpoint/sceneIndex there, but it start at the bottom of the wall the more on the left just after taking the cloak) and stops on sceneIndex: 80
CollectScroll: 13.80
Don't CollectScroll: 8.14 (there is a way to go about 1.5 sec faster with a perfect bounce on the landing but it is too random to do in a classic speedrun)
Difference: 5.66

So the best route would probably be to take scroll 8, 19 and 20. But since scroll 20 is too hard to do in a run, I think the best route is scroll 5, 8 and 19 (The scroll 19 saves about 2.5 sec rather than taking the scroll 17).
I finally got around to creating some practice saves using the trick Elesder pointed out.  I have attached them here for anyone who is interested.

Additionally, I have modified my 100% splits a little bit to take out the King split and replace it with a "Beginning of the Ende" split.  This should help remove some of the human error.  The only manual splits now are the first and last splits.  I have attached it here, as well.

Hello everyone.  I'm learning the 100% run of this game right now, but I'll be running it on the Wii U (at least to start out).  Have you guys had to deal with load times at all or is it pretty much instant on all of your PCs?  Loading into and out of the main tower can take up to 3 seconds for the Wii U version.  Do you take out load times?

Also, what is the official timing since I'll be doing it manually?  Time starts on selection of a new game file and ends at the moment control is taken away from the player ('Ende' screen)?

One final question.  Is this the most up-to-date 100% route?

Hi guys !  I'm speedrunning the game too (100%) , and for the moment, my PB is 47:53, but there is a lot of possible improvement. I will try to put the video online.

EDIT:  Didn't see the comment above, So nevermind Grin

Hello and welcome!

NKB:
PC has no load times; the scene transitions are all seamless. What you see in the video is what you get in a real run.
We have been timing from starting a new game to the moment you reach the Ende, though for an official SDA run I believe the rules say that time should begin when gaining character control, which is upon exiting the house after the opening cutscene.
The video you posted is the correct 100% route on a big-picture level, however there are several small improvements along the way which can be incorporated to save even more time. These time savers have been posted on the previous pages of this thread.

By all means, practice, contribute, record some video and show us what you've got. I love seeing this fun little game get the attention it deserves.
Happy to see some new person here.
5 trick aren't in this 100% : scale, trial, faradeus, "slug express" and the most important the cut for the scroll 20.
I play better than this now but I'm focus on the any% for the moment so I don't try to improve it. I don't know if one day I will come back on the 100% by the way.

Is there any trick to this?  When I get into the position pictured, it doesn't let me jump again.  Anyone else have this problem?  This is the PC version.

No I never had this problem. Try to mash your jump button when you are on the ground and don't stop when you are on the top of the pillar. Reload the game or the room I don't know but it should work.

It looks like you may need to be a little bit more to the left before you blink into the pillar. Check out this video I made. I pause at the correct foot positioning for a half second before I blink.

Here's one that's a bit more advanced - Arturrian uses Blue Cloak to make the jump in one attempt. Fast forward to 15:20.

Hope this helps!

I'm still not able to do it.  I'm running GOG version 1.0.4.  Is the Steam version different?
1.2 the steam version.
This trick work on the 1.1 but on the 1.0 I don't know.
twitch.tv/enkaybee
Yep - it's the easiest thing in the world to do it on the Wii U version.  Looks like I'll have to get a Steam copy.
I don't think there's enough charact
I can't believe how popular this has gotten.
Thanks everyone for contributing to this game, because I know I didn't.
Hello everyone. I've decide to create a leaderboard with all the time I have found. Maybe it can be more motivating for the runner to know that.

Some new improvement. Thanks BustahWuff for that.

Hey Smiley
I just registered here and I hope, that i can contribute with something in the future,
Keep up the great work!

Edit:

I just found a way, to do the trails room skip easier and consistent:

You just have to jump on the 4th square or between the 4th and 3rd. Jumping between is faster, but I found it harder to do.
Hey Wink
i just get back on the game et i finally get a decent time in 100% Smiley

Still lot of work to do and some skip to train but it's a really fun game to speedrun Smiley

Nice work, guys!

Hey Rabram, what version of Teslagrad are you running? The blocks in your version of the junk room (Scroll 32) are different from what I've seen in the Steam version.
I also noticed a funny glitch with the crown after beating the King.

I just found out, that my strat only works, when you reload your game while being in the trailsroom...so it doesn't work in a normal run :/ Sadly I don't know why it doesn't work...
i run it in the last version on Steam.

i think it's 1.3.1

and yes the glitch after the king scared me.... a lot Smiley
