How can a record a single segment run, but switch tapes while playing? I read the FAQ and didn't see what I was looking for. I am going to do a single-segment run on Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door and i will obviously need to switch tapes in between. Any help would be appriciated.

Pause the game, switch the tapes, unpause and continue. The time it took to switch tapes will not be added to your time, and I think the final product will include a slight pause just so continuity is not lost and viewers know it's a tape switch rather than some dodgyness by the runner.

I think it says so somewhere; all you need to know is to pause and switch.
thanks, becuase i couldn't figure out how to do this on an 8 hr. speed run without ep speed. thanks. ill try the speed run soon.
Fucking Weeaboo
Which you should never use EP speed.  Or LP.  Or SLP.

SP only.  K?  Thanks.

You're legally required to say 'bye' after that.

You should ALWAYS use SP to record your run. If you want to record a run that's longer than two hours, just pause the game and swap tapes whenever is convenient. Try to leave at least 20 seconds of pause before and after the swap, it won't count for the time.
