Suggestion: Double clicking on the post edited notification closes the edit history box, and/or add a button near the top to close it. Having to scroll to close the box on a post with a long history of edits (e.g. the runs needing verification list) can be a bit annoying.

So, how do I fix the "private messages says I have 1 message unread when I have already read all unread messages" glitch?

Also, I'm encountering a glitch on the mobile version of Taiga on my Samsung Galaxy S phone where after I click on a thread and try to go back to the previous page -- the page never loads. It just has the background, but no text/HUD...

the unread thread is probably on a previous page. if you don't want to look for it you should also be able to click mark all read.

do you know what the browser is on that device?

marking all read got rid of it. I thought that by clicking on the last page of the thread (the phone numbers thread from last AGDQ) it would mark it read.

As for the browser, it is "Internet version 2.3.6" on Gingerbread.EL30.

an unread post can be on any page of a thread. click the round green icon to be taken to it.

This was suggested a while ago, but it seems like a fairly simple and useful thing: it would be nice to be able to limit a search to the current thread.

I'm not sure if this is a Taiga thing or a YouTube thing, but sometimes when someone has posted a video in a thread and I click on the play button a new window opens up and goes to the YouTube page and then both videos will start playing. A little annoying. And I believe it has been mentioned before but a maximize option for the embedded videos would be nice as well.

Some requests:

A public list of all the requests so far. Getting close to 1300 posts now..
Ability to search within a thread.
Show progress when downloading an attachment. I guess this means making the browser aware of how large the file is.
Some kind of popup that warns you if the file you attached is a duplicate / already exists. This happened recently in the tech forum that a user re-uploaded the same file, and I'm pretty sure the url was the same on both posts so I assume the forum has some kind of deduplication thing going on. I can see this being a super low priority feature, but it would be cool.
Add a button shortcut at the bottom of the post box to create ordered and unordered lists.
Add a button shortcut at the bottom of the post box to create tables
Add a help button somewhere that lists all the available bbcode (is it called bbcode?) that can be used.
Move the +- size button to the left of the post box, way above the cancel button.. maybe aligned to the top of the post box before it's been resized.

Oh, I have a humble request:

When you click "Mark these unread", could something change immediately to register the fact the click landed? Right now, it just pauses for a second, then comes back and clears the read list/number. Maybe gray out the button as the AJAX call goes through, then re-enable it? Or change the text or look and feel a little? I end up clicking that thing 3 or 4 times sometimes because I'm not sure I hit the button box quite right.

Something I always found odd is that when you look at the last page of a thread it shows who's viewing it (Myself included), but if you look at any other page in the thread it often says "none". That's strange. I think it has something to do with "Go to last unread post", I'm not sure. I just skimmed some threads and now it didn't happen, it listed me on every page.

I was checking out the software and noticed that it is incredibly closed source, and only SDA seems to have a copy of the software away from the actual taigaforums website.

it was clear early on in development that there would be little point in trying to go that route. the setup is way too fiddly. saas was always the business plan.

Not sure if this is a bug or something weird that is happening only on my machine …
The Super Mario Bros 2. PAL-thread from the older consoles forum is constantly shown as having new posts, even after having marked them all read and being inside every page of the thread (lucky it's short xD). Also, even if there be new posts, I cannot click onto the green plus. Well, my mouse will click, but the older consoles forum page will just reload, and nothing brings me to the actual newest post. Any ideas why that is the case?
