Hi! First of all: please tell me if I am in the wrong subforum for this.

I am a part of the Swedish e-sports initiative STHLM e-sport and we have very recently been approached by Comic Con Gamex in Stockholm about hosting a smaller event at the con. We will occupy an area of the expo during the whole con and during two of those days we will brodcast showmatches and interviews live on Twitch. We would like to have a speedrunning slot during this stream.

We know that speedrunning and e-sports aren't generally regarded as one and the same, but we would love to showcase speedrunning anyway because it is a gaming phenomenon that has a competitive edge. Comic Con is a great opportunity to show it to the Swedish audience. Therefore we are looking for any Swedish speedrunners who would like to do some running and commentary at the event. We want to fill about 3 hours of time with at least 4 different games.

Would anyone here be interested in speedrunning at the event, and maybe even help us plan and set up the segment of the stream? We need the runners to be present in Stockholm during Nov 1st or 2nd (the exact day that not yet been decided). We have a sponsor who can provide us with any hardware necessary, and we can offer free tickets to the entirety of Comic Con to the participating runners. Note that we are in the early planning stages and that parts of the event may be subject to change in the near future (but I'll keep you posted).

Hit me with any questions or concerns you may have either here in the thread or by e-mail: red@sthlmesport.se. We are not very familiar with hosting speedrunning events, just watching them, so any tips are welcome! We do have experience with hosting gaming events and live streams, our most recent one being the IeSF Swedish Qualifiers that were played live in Stockholm a couple of weeks ago. Please get in touch with us ASAP, since the actual event is looming close. THANKS!

Hello there!
I would just like to point out that 1st or 2nd of october was a week ago.
Sadly I can't help you with running a game since I'm not good enough for a showcase.
Try sending the Ludendi guys a message, they arranged ESA 2014 at skövde this summer which was a huge success!
You can find their twitter over at https://twitter.com/ESA_Official_
I did a bit of teching at the event so if there's anything you think I can help with feel free to ask.
Good luck on the hunt!
Oh god, I meant November of course. Thanks for pointing it out, I edited it now.
Thanks for the tips, I'll try to contact them!
Infinite Combo
ask people in twitter.com/teamludendi is also a good way to get in touch with the runners in sweden.
