The time comes to 3:13 if I remember correctly. Tape is just here waiting to be captured. I'll capture it myself eventually when I'm not too lazy.

I think I saw MetalSmasher post in Older Consoles awhile ago, but on the subject of Smash Bros., I dunno..... Come back, Metal.

And yay soteos! I was afraid no one was interested. The project is indeed back on its feet. Exciting really, how I'll finally be able to finish it. I have a bunch of other projects that I want to complete soon too. I'm in some sort of groove lately >_<;

Oh, and in further news, I ran a 3:35 earlier today, with a bunch of mistakes in it. I see my time landing around 3:15-3:20 or something.... I can probably make that happen :P.

I like all my strategies now that I think of them. I was going to list a few specific strategies that I think people would like the most, but really, I think they're all pretty original.

Oh by the way, just ran a 3:29 a few minutes ago ;D. I can still improve upon it though, so I will do that :).

Yes. I've learned from Halo running that you should record every attempt. You just never know when you'll land it perfectly @_@;

Sorry I haven't given you all a SSB update in quite a while. I've been busy with other stuff, mostly F-Zero-related. In case anybody's forgotten (it's understandable since I haven't been here in so long), here's the setup for my run:

Difficulty: Very Hard
Character: Kirby
Lives: 5

I haven't been working on this run for quite a while, but I'll get back on it soon. So far my time stands at 8:03, but I know it can be improved. Some of my trouble battles include the Mario Bros., the Kirby team, the Fighting Polygons, and I think I could beat Master Hand a little bit faster as well. I'll keep you guys posted.

We've all been busy, Smasher. Good to see you're still "truckin" though. If you don't finish your run, I'll have to do it for you. And I such with Kirby, so.... *shakes fist*

Anyways, if you happen to have noticed the thread title, I have a 3:25 attempt on tape. I can again improve this time, so I'm gonna keep picking away at it until it's ready.

I would rather see this run based on the difficulty alone, although getting a good time on Very Easy is a good accomplishment, imagine a great time on Very Hard, that would be impressive to watch.

He's back!

I would be astonished if anyone could complete very hard with one life. The best I've done on Classic is where you face a Team X espeacially Donkey Kong (Shudder). The best I've do on Adventure is the Metal Bros. I can elimate one of them and get the other to about 350hp, but the other outright refuses to die. It drove me crazy trying to complete adventure on Very Hard with one life.

WARNING: Don't try Adventure or Classic on Very Hard with one life, its bad for your health.

Sure you would b/c that would be an extreme degree of difficulty. I'm going to try it just to see what happens with it and let you know the details. If you can get good enough at the game to do it, why not. Maybe it can be done.

Do it through a PM. Or, you can dig up an ancient Melee topic to tell him all about it in. Speaking of that, how'd this topic get bumped anyways? No one seems to care about SSB, only Zelda, Final Fantasy, Mario, and other strange games on the PlayStation. My run is finished by the way, just sitting around waiting to be captured. Nothing special. That being said, no more progress reports from me, so let this shitty thread die into Newer Consoles like all of my topics do.

This thread is gonna bump back up once we actually see the damn run, I can tell you that! I bet a lot of people are just waiting to see it. This ain't no obscure game.

And concerning Very Hard run, seems like I'm the only candidate for now, and I did find my missing cartridge. But, I'm not going to try it until someone can come up with good strategies against Kirby and polygon team using Kirby.

How did you get a good time as DK? I only do good as Link, but I get times of 5-10 minutes (VE).

Clever fighting (throwing), suiciding, punching, helicoptering and clapping. I'd give you a more indepth description of my genius, but I wouldn't want to spoil the run now, would I?

Kirby Team, suck other Kirby's up so they don't annoy you so much with their powers. Then, it's all about dodging, R+Ring, Up+Bing, and snap A moves. For Polygon Team, take out the first three, Up+B to a platform to take out a spawning polygon, keep flying up in the air over and over again, rocking each of the polygon until they're dead. Grab items whenever you can. That's the best I can come up with, I suck with Kirby.

Anyways, as I said before, I'm just sitting around waiting for my capture card. I could do it next week, next month, who knows? We shall see. I'll probably cave and just send the tape to nate after he is all settled in.
