Thread title:
Existence as you know it is over
I've only played this game briefly, but I remember in some of the stages (or was it the GC version?) you could jump from the top and land all the way at the bottom, this seems interesting and I would like to see more levels.
super monkey ball is definitely a great game for speedrunning.

Ad infinitum
These vids are great fun to watch at least! I haven't played Monkey Ball but the videos are still cool  Smiley

http://www.vortiginous.com/ has some score records, and score is related to time so obviously most of them are equivilent to speedruns (some do involve collecting a lot of bananas though). Some of them are unreal.

Just watched those two links... if you complete a run on this game and send it in I'm so downloading it Tongue

Actually, people are going for times on Banana Blitz instead of scores.

Videos for every stage can be found here.

I'm planning on doing ILs for Banana Blitz; however, there's no way I can actually record it with submittable quality, so the only way I can submit is to save replays and have someone else record them.  Is there anyone who'd be able to do that when the time comes?
Sorry for the double post, but I just wanted to say I'm working on this now... Can anyone tell me if this save file works?  I've never uploaded a file to my computer before and I wouldn't be surprised if I messed something up. :\

I've currently completed 50/100 stages (I already had 22 stages before I started and I've mostly done easy stages so far, plus I plan to improve them).  I have videos here, though it's currently down; I'd really appreciate if anyone can tell me where I can improve after it's back up.
Sorry for the triple post, but I finished this a few days ago... Is anyone interested in seeing this? If so, I'll try to submit.
what hardware do you need to use the save files?

The replays are saved on the game's main file so as far as I know you just copy the file to an SD card then copy it to the Wii. (Although I don't actually have anything to do that, I just used a camera to upload the file...)
your save data link expired. need to confirm i can use your save data before i buy an s-video cable.
New link. Hopefully it should work...
data confirmed. buying cable and game.

i've done worse.

not my money anyway. >_>
Waiting hurts my soul...
Just goes to show the devotion he has to getting more runs on the site Radix.  Cheesy

I think IL runs are better for the site, as other people are more likely to out do those then an entire game run IMO.
fucking .gif....
your the same Miles?

holy crap...honestly...I cant wait to see something like this get done.  wonder if smilingjack or packattack have done anything like this themselves.  I haven't been with the monkey ballers for a long time.

ok i got the game today and the replay data is working so i need you to formally submit the runs to mikwuyma as per the submission guidelines. please also include the date on which you completed each run (i know i can also see it but i'm already doing all the capture and encoding so i figure it won't kill you to do that part yourself :).

edit: replay #25 seems to be broken ... it has you falling and not completing the stage. the rest work though.
I didn't realize that you didn't actually own the game before. o_O

There's 3 other files with replays (because of the game's 30 replay limit). 2 of the files are here; I want to make sure those work before deleting them and uploading the 4th one.

For the dates, I was an idiot and didn't write them down at first and I no longer have the file I uploaded. :\ I can get the dates for the other 3, though...

I think that was supposed to fall out and isn't actually a run.

I think you can still submit runs with a estimated completion date.
here's file 1 again so you can get the dates etc.
