Light Speed! *shoom!*
seriously you can entirely skip mother brain, but it requires the Spaz-Plas glitch.  use that in the starting area of crateria, and walk through the left door of that area (might wanna open the door first)  you should see the planet start to explode like at the end, but there wont be a timer, and you can just walk back to your ship.  when you go in your ship, you will trigger the ending cutscene, and the credits.

you can completely skip ridley and mother brain, definitely cutting a LOT of time off your final time.

it may not be allowed, but damn is it cool! Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

I think someone should do this. ^_^ In its own run catagory, of course. It would be really interesting to watch.

Just make it clear that its a glitch ending. ^_^

It only works on emulator.
I like this site name cause it's easy to remember.
How could that happen?

could you please clarify this?

does it work on emulators only because of emulation errors (differences between the emulator and the original console)?
Or could it work on a real SNES but isn't feasible to do without savestates / timescale etc?

My guess is that the emulator handles an overflow condition differently than the real hardware does.

Did someone actually try this, or is this just a guess?
Just call me the cynicism machine
It is definitely an emulator-only glitch.  It's called the space-time beam/glitch, or something like that.
