I can see high 1:23 be possible but I have to be crazy to attempt that.
Another fantastic run, Takuji!  It's amazing that anyone can possess such skill.
That run was amazing (as was the TAS done a few posts above)! Do you use a gamepad or keyboard/mouse?

Hello everyone,

I've made some computations about which strategy is the fastest to farm the glitch girl on The End.

EDIT: The glitch girl probability is not 5% when 100% completion, but 10%. It changes some results regarding 6-2 farming.

tl;dr route: 6-4x, 6-5x, 6-1x, 6-2x, farm 6-3x, DarkFetus is the fastest. If you want to farm on 6-2, route 6-1x, 6-2x, 6-3x, 6-4x, 6-5x, DF, farm 6-2 is the fastest. You lose 20s on average if farming on 6-2 instead of 6-3x.



There are multiple choices you can make:
- Farm on stage 6-2 or 6-3x
- Farm before or after doing Fetus
- Farm on 6-3x when first getting into it, or skip the stage and re-enter it to farm
- Go directly to Fetus before doing any dark world levels, or go the normal way
- Start with 6-1x skipping 6-3x or with 6-4x and get back to 6-1x after

Based on that, I listed 10 different strategies:

1) Farm 6-2 just before Dark Fetus
2) Farm 6-2 after Dark Fetus
3) Do Dark Fetus before dark levels, and farm 6-2
4) Farm 6-3x when first entering the level
5) Do Dark Fetus before dark levels, and farm 6-3x when entering
6) Skip 6-3x and farm just before Dark Fetus
6+) Start with 6-4x and 6-5x, then 6-1x to 6-3x, farm and do Dark Fetus
7) Skip 6-3x and farm after Dark Fetus
8) Do Dark Fetus before dark levels, skip 6-3x and farm at the end
8+) Do Dark Fetus before dark levels, Start with 6-4x and 6-5x, then 6-1x to 6-3x, farm

Here is the average time taken for each strategy. Results are given in relative time, 0 being the based time where you didn't loose any time farming. Results supposed that you didn't die in any level. The probability to get a glitch girl on a level is 0.05*completion_percentage. If you have 100% completion, the probability is 0.1.

Some more farming ideas:

2-10x with Naija (very fast death)
3-6x with Steve
3-16x with Steve (faster death than on 3-6x I think)
4-9 with Naija (faster death and faster level than Meat Boy)
4-12 with Steve (slow death but fast level)

I'm considering Steve strats because it doesn't cost much time.
You can do for example Dark Rapture before Dark Hell, skipping the Rapture glitch girl if you didn't get it. As the farming level is 5-3x, you will exit and re-enter the world anyway, so you can do another world in-between.

Wow, neat skip.  Too bad it will mean missing out on one of the most entertaining bosses though.  Keylie absolutely destroys Brownie going the original route and I loved it.

All characters take a variable amount of time to die and to respawn, which may have an influence on which one to take for farming glitch girl.
Here are the durations for every character (except those unlock by a code, which I couldn't access using the TAS tool).
You don't have the death animation if you go oob.

It looks to me as if an absolutely perfect run with these strats would be ~18:18, meaning keyless / hex skip would be needed to get below 18:15.  Good luck to anyone who attempts that...

Hello everyone. I'm new here, so this is my first post.

I recently found a glitch that is a great time savior on some levels, allowing the character to pass through walls and objects. (Not the Naija glitch)

These are some of my PB using the glitch:
1x8 - 0.15s
6x1x - 4.48s
6x2 - 1.93s
6x3 - 8.12s
6x3x - 1.07s
6x4 - 10.48s
6x4x - 11.15s
7x1 - 0.22s
7x2 - 0.38s
7x3 - 3.85s
7x4 - 5.25s
7x12 - 0.93s
7x12x - 3.23s
7x20x - 6.75s

These times are "Game times", not IRL time, so they should be a bit longer than these ones. (2s or something)

I'm still testing it but as far as I know, it work this way:
First of all, for testing, if you are playing with gamepad I recomend you to download JoyToKey or any similar software and bind some key (I use LB on a XBOX pad) to Mouse left click.

The glitch is only available on the PC(at least on Windows 7, didn't tried with other windows version nor MAC nor Linux), in window mode.

If you click on the window upper-border, the game "freezes", disabling the collisions with objects and walls, if you are enough far from those objects or walls(approx half the size of Meat Boy).
The time you spent holding click is the time Meat Boy (or whatever char.) will remain glitched, for ~3 seconds max.
If you are running on floor, you will stay on the same line and passing through walls and objects. If you are on-air and you are about to hit a wall, you will pass through the floors, as well as objects too.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but this is well known Wink It happens also if you press alt and is exclusive to the windows version (obviously because on console there are no windows widgets to prevent redrawing ^^) and it works because super meat boy, if the frame rate drops, makes all actions extend further to compensate for the lag (kind of like Donkey Kong 64) (this is also why sometimes times can be slightly faster or slower despite doing the same thing - variable frame rate = slightly variable physics!)

Theoretically there could be an any% or 106% with alt glitch but currently no one runs it because it's pretty silly.

Yea SDA doesn't allow that kind of glitch. Alt+Tab isn't allowed by SDA rules in Antichamber either (though it's the most popular category in that game).
