You want to start splitting that main page up? It's going to get pretty long with five more routes.
I guess we should at least have Run Categories/Routes in a separate page. Should we also have Route Planning be a separate page? (I plan to add 7 World maps to it, and then maybe a little more information, but not too much.)
It would be fine on the main page, which is general info all the other pages can link back to for reference. Or you could split it off if you wanted and no harm done.
doing terrible at battle belt, have to get good again, sub-54 WILL happen though. and is it faster to draw the first goomba toward the launch star or to spin it where it is? EDIT: 00:51.90 will have it up by the end of the week, assuming I don't accidentally record over it lol. I miss one fireball and do an unnecessary spin, so probably 1 second of improvement there. I don't want to try again, but I suppose I will if you guys tell me to.
I looked at the 71 star route. It looks pretty good but I noticed a few things.
The only melty monster star you do in the chimps bowling challenge. The magma sea is a bit long but I think it can be substituted for another star, maybe prince caliente in shiverburn? Melty molten 2 is also a pretty fast star.
Also, the ledge hammer trap in clockwork ruins may be fast for IL's, but in a real run you would need to colect the coins for the luma which adds a huge amount of time. I'm pretty sure there's some other faster star.

Other than that, looks good.
The 30 coins do take a while, but not as long as other stars (unless you stink at those wheels like me :p). Prince Picante, and packattack's route for the Ultimate Skating Challenge should work for the first planet (with landing in the launch star). Melty Molten 2nd star = fast, makes the first star worth the time; as you visit less galaxies (and get to skip intro cutscene for Bowling!)
Yeah, one of the hardest decisions for me was to take out melty monster star 1. I thought it was too long and risky. I never even considered doing the rock mario one because its so dang hard. And I deemed the chimp's ultimate skating challenge also too risky. Maybe you guys are all better or more gutsy than me (:
If your main problem in Melty Molten 2 is the back-and-forth part near the end, consider jumping and pressing Z to cancel your rolling before entering that area. Then just run and jump through that part as regular Mario, and resume rolling afterward.

IIRC, you can't leave Rock Mario during that.

It opens "A stroll down rolling lane" and allows an intro cutscene to be skipped (Bowling Challenge) so it's worth it. A Stroll Down Rolling Lane isn't too hard once you get the hang of it (GREEN STAR 3 IN MELTY MOSTER=LOTS OF PRACTICE!) Funnily enough, I got both the skating challenges with minimal scores first try (and bowling too: lol!)
When making routes, go with the fastest route possible, then worry about risk (e.g., something that requires luck late in an SS is no problem if it's at the start of a segment (looking at you, Dark Ruins (from Ape Escape) because of that stupid fast monkey) or a ridiculously hard trick (Stone Cyclone anyone?))

If you farmed star bits there to get 9,999 like me, you'd be an expert at that level.
I did my farming at the Twisty Trials Galaxy. Which one gets to 9999 faster?
I just added one map to the wiki, here. I replaced the Japanese names of the galaxies with the English names (that's why the word bubble length doesn't tend to match with the name length). How does it look - is the map display too big or small? Is the text too big or small?
Also, speaking of getting to 9999 star bits - to unlock the final scenario (The Perfect Run), do you need to have 241 stars and 9999 star bits in the bank *at the same time*, or is it fine for 241 and 9999 to occur separately? If separately is fine, then you could save them all up in your bank until you get 9999, and only after that, take out your star bits and start feeding the Lumas. That means you'd need 9999 star bits total throughout the game, instead of 9999 + 8500 for Lumas. (I imagine you'd have a good chance of finding this out if you've played to 100% more than once, but I haven't.)
I've decided I'm not gonna change the route to include a stroll down rolling lane. This is because I would have to take out 2 stars, probably from shiverburn (prince picante and ice romp) since that doesn't affect a ton of other stars. That would mess up the comet medal count and you'd have to get another comet medal somewhere else, which would have to be either in Wild Glide, Megahammer, or cosmic cove. All of these would add 5 or 10 seconds to the time. Getting a comet medal earlier would, in turn, make the comets appear earlier and mess up that as well. Plus, having an incredibly risky star in the last world doesn't seem like a good idea to me. If anyone disagrees, feel free to change it on the knowledge base, but when I do my run I'll steer clear of rolling lane.

Yes, they have to be at the same time. I'm pretty sure anyway.

IIRC, the Megahammer Comet Medal doesn't slow you down at all, and also, IIRC, once comets appear you can do them at any time in this game.

Yeah, you can. I found out when I was practicing my walkthrough, I took out my 9999 starbits early, got my 241st star, and the prankster comet auto-appeared on grandmaster.
Actually, I was planning on IFing to the item box and skipping the moving platforms in the ships part entirely, in which case getting the comet medal slow you down... a lot.

Infinite Flutter, the one thing I always overlook (mostly because I can't* do it) *haven't bothered try more than once or twice
