I wonder if I should keep posting videos here, or if I should just post a playlist URL or start a thread in Casual Speedrunning, seeing as it is doubtful I will produce anything SDA-worthy. I don't want to clog the thread with worthless stuff, but then again maybe some people like seeing my stuff.
Anyway, these are all SDA-submittable:
Upside Dizzy galaxy - Green Star #2 - 26.31 I'm almost sure this can be finished a cycle earlier.
Clockwork Ruins galaxy - Green Star #3 - 3:13.35 Definitely not up to SDA standards, but I felt pretty good actually not missing the star. (I was in that groove at the end by accident)
Rightside Down galaxy - The Great Crate Incinerator - 1:11.98
Melty Monster galaxy - The Chimp's Bowling Challenge - 1:16.41
Clockwork Ruins galaxy - Green Star #3 - 3:13.35 Definitely not up to SDA standards, but I felt pretty good actually not missing the star. (I was in that groove at the end by accident)
Has anyone other than me actually done a 70 star run yet? I mean, yea, Individual level runs are great, but I want to see someone takes those skills over to a single segment 70(1) Star run. My personal best is 4:11:15 (This is using the games timing when the game sends you get sent a message to your wii message board telling you your time)
I did I just finished one.
I got a messy 5:20:24. In addition to using no major speed tricks, I easily made over an hour of mistakes. Well, it was fun.

Post it. Your stuff is much more worthwhile than some of the random posts, and besides, more videos is always good.

Finished with 4:18:23 without infinte flutter trick.
Bowser's Galaxy Generator - Bowser's Big Bad Speed Run - 3:38.40 Sorry, Yoshi! (there's room for improvement)
edit: Wow, Paraxade's video shows how this stage can be completed much, much faster Paraxade's video:
edit: Heh heh, my 71-star time is easily the slowest posted at SDA, but it's the fastest time so far at Cyberscore. (I guess a lot of SDA members don't use Cyberscore.)
WOAH. I managed to get Yoshi ALL OF THE WAY to the slide at Tall Trunk Galaxy. This took a straight 5-6 minutes of Infinite Fluttering.
All to find out that when you put Yoshi onto the slide, the game freezes..
Here it is -
From the Description -
More things that can be done with this 1. Jump off and use Mario/Luigi to go down the slide 2. Use Yoshi to go to the end of the slide, just to see what happens 3. Use Yoshi to land on a different part of the slide, i.e. not at the beginning. 4. Jump on the ledge to (maybe) Trigger the music that triggers when you usually land on it during the normal mission.
Well, I'm probably about done playing this very good game for the near future, so I probably won't have any more to add to this thread, but before I switch to lurker mode I've really got to say ...
I think it's unspeakably cool that this game's creators included a feature that displays a final time at the end of each level, and records the player's best time for each star. Because of that, I bet that every Tom, Dick and Harry has gone for at least a few IL speedruns in this game. For me that feature took this game from being an enjoyable 40 hours to being an enjoyable 95 hours.
And I'm glad there's finally a 3D Mario game with well over 120 (or 150) goals
Also, I am a little shocked that so many glitches got into this game, assumably a huge-budget game by one of the biggest game companies. I don't just mean the speed trick glitch(es). I didn't even try to count how many speed attempts at Galaxy Generator got ruined yesterday and today because Mario started out by running the wrong direction
Oh well, still I enjoyed this game a lot. I haven't finished The Perfect Run yet, though still stuck at 241 stars.

You should keep at it. I didn't think I'd ever do it and it ended up not taking very long.
Thanks, I know I should. I'll try at least a little more tomorrow. But to be honest I'm not that interested in getting the Perfect Run star; I'd much rather put up some decent times and record some decent videos. As to whether or not I've accomplished this, well the jury's still out lol; compared to most of the people here I haven't
If I ever do complete "The Perfect Run", my 242-star completion time will be amusing
Could fluttering be used as an speed trick for Tall Trunks Galaxy Star 2? Fluttering straight to the end of the slide...
You can't infinite flutter all of the way to the end because Yoshi is not available in the 2nd star mission. In the first mission, I have accomplished infinite fluttering Yoshi to the slide, though.
Sliding down the slide with Yoshi ends up in the game freezing, and going down with Mario/Luigi can be done, but you end up at the end with none of the little wood tribe guys, so you can't get a star.
